I work for an NBC affiliate in Kansas City and we like what we see here. We are interested in contacting you to see if you want to possibly work for us as a spot news reporter. Your reporting technique is just what we are looking for. NOT!!!
you are a fucking idiot who wants to be a news reporter but have no camera sense. we have people like you arrested for getting in the way. stay back douchebag.
sorry dude but u realy need to stay back while the firefighters are working...even the guys that are just standing around are either running things or always ready to go when somthing bad happens, that could be a firefighter down or a possble victim
Wood ? why dont they build them houses out of brick,at least if there be any house fires there wont be half as much damage, wood just burn to the ground then a lot to replace
Well, I guess Mr. Hollick meant well. When viewing this long fire video, perhaps also view his video How To Survive An Alien Abduction. I agree that a spectator should not try to "interview" the fire fighters during the fire, and I'm amazed they were so polite and none of them asked him to take a break. This is just one very extroverted guy I guess. At least he loves his cat and treats it well (see How To Survive An Alien etc.).
Unless you are part of the fire crew you should stay out of their way when their fighting the fire, also asking people what started it can get you labeled a suspect if it's ruled arson. Believe me we note everyone's face who is at the scene of a fire, especially if your walking around the scene when were putting it out.
fire attack went defensive... not that exciting bro.... not to be mean nor rude but what if that family was outside when some guy with a camera saying oh cool..... If I was the IC or chief i would say turn off the camera.... this video just bugs me how he was walking around the seen..... people just dont do that we have tap up for a reason...... urgh....
All i can Say is Wow! I cant Believe you did not get arrested for this!
You DONT ever walk up to a firefighter with a video camera & just start asking questions...You ask the Chief first when you get there if its ok to film the fire scene, and you ruined with your narration & no control at all of the camera
This is Incredible! Im getting nausious watching it
Advice for future ... DONT video tape fires, reasons why ... 1, Privacy acts 2, NEVER go upto command staff and ask "What happened here" or "what caused this" theres media officers/media relation staff to deal with these issues and are normally handles by the police. 3, you are not a professional fire fighter, have no PPE and NO experiance with the hazards which are present during and after structure fires. Please keep the scene secure and safe and let the men and women do their jobs.
Exactly jsncrso.I thank you for your reply. All of these A'holes on here dissing this poor guy. He's just filming a fire scene. There are some things he just needs to be taught do and not to do.Like the one dude above you DragLuv911 going to say "Don't video tape fires".How retarded is that?Everyone wants to be incharge of someone.Telling people what they can and can't do.

@WRCATFISH You obvious lack of common sense, courtesy, research, and self respect has lead to this blatantly stupid comment. Don't ever talk trash about the Noblesville Fire Department. Their "putting water on smoke" saved my neighbor's house.
Well first off, there are no laws against free lance photography. And at any extreme he probably had permission to be there, or the firefighters really did not care. Because if he was placing a burden on those men, law enforcement would have taken him from the scene. its as simple as that.
that or they were out at the "police line" that crossed. if ya notice the firefighter at 3:50 telling him that there will be a media rep there shortly and refusing to answer his question, i take it that he probably wasnt suppose to be there.
i actually lived there and was there while the fire started and for the record we are not into drugs my family and i are lucky to be alive it was an ACCIDENT that the fire started AND THE HOUSES SUCKED
fire destroy to many houses every year!! one of my friend house burnt down then after they were moving they got killed in a car accident he was 19 when he died my best friend ever!!
How awful.. I would be heart broken if that was my home. At least no one was hurt.. Must have been really big to get the homes next to it. When you find out what caused it, you have to let me know..
That's why you shouldn't cook meth in your attic! Hey, glad you sent this to me- it never showed up in my subs!! Nuts!! Great job! You captured some of your local heroes at work! You should've stood in front of the house when they had the hose out and screamed, "Do me next! Do me next!" You might have been arrested- but it'd be a Tom Green moment!
Wow, that is from a flip? I am impressed. Now I want one. Makes a convenient camera for more hazardous situations. Only cost $20 more than my mini dv JVC.
Yep its the Flip Mino HD much easier to carry with me than my regular Canon video Camera. You can check out a video i put up last week "Father surprises Son with a Flip Mino HD" I got one for myself and my son Maxx its a fun video check it out :)
Awesome footage, Sean, you're a super reporter, and very cool that you met that other reporter, who isn't privileged to work for youtube lol ... but she seemed like an outstanding person nonetheless. The quality in HD is just remarkable, like being there, I feel bad for the family but really a great job on this one!
