  • Queen mum fuck starving little Brownies let's play tennis. Long live the Groom of the Stool I mean stole.Brilliant song!

  • Never realised before jack was somewhat shorter than the others!!!!

  • I was thirteen then looks so fun

  • @fanoel77

And I was 13 then too!

  • *cream* *cream* *CREAM* *cream* *cream* *cream* *CREAAMM* *cream*

  • yeah, eric was too pure for this type of lipsync type a' stuff. i'm surprised anyone talked him into doing this. i feel bad that he's hating it so much, but the video's fun to watch...haha!!

  • God's face changed so much

  • eric looks really happy to be there

  • Clapton looks like he's having a bad trip.

  • daniel brou, joanne yiokaris brou and kitty kitty kitty

  • "The Elephants are dancing on the graves of screaming mice" ... truly a song for our times, sigh ...

  • How did they get talked into this??

  • It's 2011 and Cream is the one of the few 60s band left whose original

members are all still alive. They should tour in 2012.

  • I think the ginger drummers dead dude.

  • @BenPN1000 Hi Ben, I just checked Wikipedia and he is still alive. The article said he lives in

South Africa but I think he acutally lives in LA. Have a good day.

    CB

  • @chrisbacos haha. that was the reason why Clapton made them reunite in 2005. then again, they only have 3 members which definitely affects the odds of a band member dieing

  • They probably regret doing this silly bit, whomever's idea it was. They also hated lip-syncing.

  • @EdSullivan101 Could also be right around the time that Clapton was making up his mind to leave Cream before he saw their article in Rolling Stone.

  • Anybody know what TV show this was filmed for?

  • @gortleib I saw it the first time....My best recall is the Smothers Bros. on CBS. I also think it was one of the last charted singles for the group on top 40 ... I like the tune, Light pop, no strain on the brain cells... It's great when bands don't take themselves too seriously all the time ...:)!

  • wonderful

  • probably their most underated track.

  • Bruce was a fuckin amazing bassist.

  • @Skaternick911 was??...he still is

  • @Skaternick911 "Is" ...As of this typing, not having heard otherwise, the man still has a pulse....:)!

  • @Johns805 I ment as in CREAM. Bruce was a fuckin amazing bassist for CREAM.

  • @Skaternick911 Was???? He still is dude.

  • Que tales efectos ESpeciales :D

    clapton ^^ paja !!!

  • Apparently the frogs were nailed to the table to stop them leaping off, which is one of the reasons the band look so unhappy...

  • I had no idea the Bud-weis-ERR frogs had a gig in the late '60s....my mind is BLOWN!

  • very good song, too bad so short

  • I was born in the wrong decade...

  • i think this is the most gay thing cream did i could write a better song on every drug in the world,

  • Reverb Frogs!!!

  • Wow.

  • I remember seeing the Cream doing Sunshine of your Love on a variety show with that little homo Liberace, ruining the song with video inserts of himself playing guitar. I was outraged at 18 lol.

  • @McKellar51 Thing about that particular homo is that he successfully sued a newspaper in the 50s for printing that he was a homo ; he said he wasn't, the lying hypocrite !

  • @TheKenfig

McShithead. Which homo are you talking about? You wouldn't be missing a brain would you? If I'm not mistaken, you are a moron at the very least. An bogoted a number one asshole at worst.

  • @doug5759 How the fuck am I 'Mc' Shithead when I dont have the Mc title on my name ?. Look properly at who you are replying to eh ? . Anyway, what homo do you THINK he's talking about, Martina Navratilova ??

  • @TheKenfig

Well you are a shithead at least, with our without the Mc, Kenfag.

  • @doug5759 Because I dislike such a dishonest cunt that he had to sue a newspaper for damages successfully because they said he was gay, whilst knowing he was all along ?. That's fraud. Then the cunt fucked young underage boys for his perverted pederast gratifications. Glad he was riddled with AIDS. You're a fan then I take it ?....Hmmmm.......NICE..

  • @McKellar51 Have you seen the tosser on here having a swipe cos I don't like Liberace ?, Lol ; take a look

  • Careful not to crack a smile Eric, might lose the seriousness of the song.

  • i love it always have

  • Even the best groups have a bad day. It looks like english humor gone amok.

  • I'm sure this performance was one of the catalysts for their decision to split. So obvious they're not happy doing this.

  • RICH

    -mby

    ps wouldn't it be NICE

  • why does anyone like this video?

  • They HATED THIS. Especially Ginger Baker.

  • This was from a film called 'The Savage Seven'. I had this on a single that had a misprint on the label , saying 'The Sausage Seven' LOL

  • A very bad Beatle imitation. Lucky this video was not seen that much back then.

    The blues was their calling.

  • @JamesThomasBand doesnt sound a bit like the beatles just because his guitar gently weeps...

  • cool!

  • Boring

  • was this on the smothers brothers

  • @metallicarules1234 - Actually, I THINK it was on their summer replacement show hosted by Glen Campbell. I know that Cream appeared on the G/C show but can't remember if this was it or not.

  • I love the frogs singing Cream, Cream, Cream :D

  • Any Drug + This Song = BEST TRIP EVER!

  • the best xD

  • Only Clapton could be pissy in one of the greatest band of all time. He hated this song? Compared to the beer commercials blues he's recorded since Layla. Please.

  • @thewizardofcovington Clapton didn't hate the song---hell, he wrote the song (with Martin Sharp, who also wrote the lyric to "Tales of Brave Ulysses"), and it was their current single at the time---but this appearance came at a time when Cream was winding up their existence and there had been tension in the band still. Ginger Baker once said the winding-up was the likely reason why Clapton looked so unhappy in the clip: "I don't know, but I'm glad it wasn't something I was singing!"

  • @EasyAce hmmm..i was just wondering if eric was using a teleprompter.....because eric didnt like to sing i wonder how the hell he remembered all those lyrics!!! i listend over a hundred times and still cant remember all the lyrics!! ''setting up the chessboard while death rolls the dice'

  • @jazzkid66 They mimed and he lip-synched to the actual single in that clip. That, alas, was common practise in those years on shows that weren't "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" or Ed Sullivan. (@dukeford This was "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" when that show began as a summer replacement. Cream wasn't happy about being made to do this clip this way---any more than when Campbell did let them play "Sunshine of Your Love" live but without anything resembling their regular stage rig.)

  • @EasyAce even the Fab four went out of their way to do 'Hello, Goodbye' out of sync...guess eric didnt have the luxury huh? i havent even see the video of sunshine...is clapton not even playing his fender strat?

  • @jazzkid66 Clapton didn't play Strats in Cream---his electric guitars were usually a Gibson SG (the famous psychedelic paint job), a Gibson ES-335, and a Gibson Firebird. (He played a Les Paul in Cream's very earliest days, in 1966, but that guitar was stolen as they were prepping for their first major tour.)

  • @EasyAce im gonna have to believe you since i was born in 73' and as much as i LOVE the gibson SG (jimmy page played one as well right?) wasnt eric playin the strat in Blind Faith in 69"? (the one w the flowers stickers) y would he give up up the SG??? unless he hurt himself falling down w the heavy gibson! ;)

  • @jazzkid66 Clapton played a Telecaster with a Strat neck and his ES-335 in Blind Faith; he picked up the Strat somewhere when he began hanging with Delaney and Bonnie on that tour. The SG is actually one of Gibson's lighter-weight solidbody guitars (I used to play one; I play a Les Paul now). Jimmy Page played the doublenecked SG but that was the only one I knew him to play; he played Telecasters and Les Pauls mostly, otherwise . . .

  • it sucks.. only the last secs are pretty sweet

  • He WAS pissed!! Clapton didn't want to do the show (the Smother's Brothers, I think. They were forced to it by Cream's manager), and has said that he hated the song.

  • Who's the guy with the mustache?

  • @shatchett0 Eric Clapton

  • @thebeatles1015 Who?

  • @shatchett0 eric clapton, wikipedia him hes one of the greatest guitarist ever

  • @shatchett0 Ohhhhhh come one man, seriously?

  • @mylovedsystem I thought it was God!

  • clapton looks pissed

  • geesh! I never noticed how small Jack is! Compared to Ginger and Eric hes like 6 or 7 inches shorter!

  • Who would have thought of Baker, Clapton and Bruce doing this. I've seen it all.

  • @bichomaldito - I remember seeing this on The Smothers Brothers.

  • Wasn't this the theme song to "The Savage 7"?

  • oh my goddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • great stuff man, almost like H.R.PuffNStuff type stuff.

  • Yeah, they look so thrilled to be there because of the frogs: As you might be able to tell from the intro, they nailed their feet into the ground to prevent them for moving. It's pointless animal cruelty... rock stars hate that type of stuff, right?

  • Weird clip!

  • clappers looks stoned..in fact they all do...ginger/skelitor is just going through the motions

  • @MrCrispian stoned or maybe bored? What they call a contractual obligation song promos

  • @MrCrispian stoned or just plain old bored? For the evidence look at the way they swot the butterfly.

  • O__O

  • 1st of March is Justin Bieber's birthday. This little roach has been infecting the whole world. Because of him, the world of rock is extincting.

So on his birthday, we all will go to his "Baby" official video and push the 'dislike' button so that the 'dislike' bar becomes 10 times bigger than the 'like' bar.

If you are a rock fan, join with me and thumbs up me, copy-paste this message to all rock videos. We have six months to unite and fight against this little cockroach

  • @thomasharris181818

no one cares, this is cream, not biever discussion. get a life

  • @thomasharris181818 What a rebel. You're really going to push the dislike button? Oh my GOD! You must need a wheelbarrow to carry your balls around.

Moron. Rock and roll was dead long before Bieber was even born. Besides, as bad as that kid is, he's only filling an appetite that exists. Lots of people like crappy music which is performed with no discernible artistry whatsoever; always have done and always will do. It's called "pop".

  • will i grow taller if i play tennis regularly ?

  • Vaya look´s..

  • this song makes me so happy

  • cough cough!!!

  • seeing Eric Clapton hiting a butterfly with a tennis racket dressed like a policeman is so hilarious xD

this shows the funny side of Cream

  • Comment removed

  • ginger is a stud. ripping the bongos, smoke in mouth. wicked

  • i'm baked

  • Worst 60s music video?

  • i thought i was watching a music video by The Police at 1:17

  • what is this shyte? almost as appaling as wrapping paper. anyone for tennis? not eric, obviously.

  • Brilliant green screen use. Yeah chess in the park is awesome, rolling dice sounds boring.

  • Eric certainly looks thrilled to be there.

  • @Boingusboingus He looks pissed off!

  • @Boingusboingus strung out on heroin....

  • The trees look just like overgrown broccolis.

  • hahaha,,,go Ginger!.....hope the B sides Wrapping paper!......

  • i love you, penis-sized hands:) your so useful...

  • Unusual song. I didn't realize Bruce was so damn short.

  • Love the bongos mongos!!!!

  • suck that cig, ginger! lmao

  • they are all like... "so, i'm doing this shit... i hope i get a lot of money for it..." there's no soul in this video... so sad! :(

  • baker is a badass

  • i think the old tennis raquets are funny

  • *cream cream cream cream cream cream cream*....Cream!

  • these guys were not on LSD they were on heroin go see their documentary...but amazing musicians

  • @fattirevsbud I'm not sure which documentary is being referred to, but Cream did not use heroin... I did most of the touring with them and know that first hand. What the individual guys might have done before or after is a different story and well documented

  • @46jgodfrey wow ,some memories here then ?

  • @fattirevsbud

ha ha they were too acidheads. they used to sometimes drop acid before they went on stage. everyone did acid back then. ginger was the only dope user those days afaik. eric got into it heavily around "layla". bruce==dunno, heavy boozer i heard. this is from EC's autobiography and Jimi's bio. who knows really, but i grew up in the 60s, they had a rep for lsd use.

  • @j0eX Thanks for your input very informative!

  • @j0eX Yeah, Cream were definitely Acidheads writing Acid music.....All the heavy bands were into Acid at that time......That was the spark that started all that loud heavy rock.

  • @fattirevsbud you're silly.

  • I remember seeing a Cream documentary, and Clapton talked about this clip. He was not happy about having to go through it. He knew it was silly. And he was generally unhappy with Cream at this point, of course. You can see all of that in his eyes, for sure. Especially at the beginning. It's like, "WTF am doing......"

  • oh man, this is hilarious! but it also makes me glad that clapton didn't handle lead vocals for most of their songs

  • How far back does lip sync go, I wonder?

  • @nachoslemenheads Lip-syncing started in the 1930s when movies began to incorporate huge Broadway-style musical numbers. Directors, like Busby Berkley, figured out that they could do more takes from more angles if they didn't need to have a large orchestra on set and the performers had more energy if they weren't also singing. Almost all big Hollywood movies were done like that.

  • WOW

  • This is such a quality song

  • thanks for posting

  • froggie is my fave.. i better go jump back in the water, now, don't wanna melt,

    as the dawn is approaching..

  • LSD...

  • That was from The Smothers Brothers show.

  • Clapton looking like a member of the Dobbie Brothers but this is a good 7 years earlier

  • I think the story was that they owed their record label more music to fulfill their record contract obligations when they were breaking up. This was on their last 45 - their way of saying FU to the record execs :-)

  • haha this is so wierd and awesome

  • Awesome song.Nice chord progression, i wonder if he really is playing a 12 string guitar on the track?

  • Took me back to my school days when i had this as a single with Pressed Rat and Warthog on the other side.

  • Dude...Too Fuckin' Tripped Out !!! Cream was the original SuperGroup.

  • I always thought this would be a great song to play during Wembledon

  • How amazing! I don't know why but Cream always rubbed me the right way.

So much so I purchased the boxset, which had a lot of their studio works.

    GO CREAM!

  • that why i dont do drugs lol

  • Listening to Cream always makes me start to think of how overrated Stones and Beatles are...

  • @Neither are overrated, they had a different thing altogether. Remember Cream were a band with extremely talented musicians by comparison to the Stones and Beatles. Cream was mostly about weaving in and out of a song into a jam and the others were more strict song oriented

  • Eric looking like a member of the Doobie Brothers. Maybe that's were they got their inspiration

  • i fucking love this song

    cream \m/

    :)

  • The best song Paul McCartney didn't write. . . . . .

  • dude jack is soo short lol

  • Too bad the Rabbit did not appear...But didn't they have plans to use stuffed gorillas as stage props in the early days?

  • does anyone know what that instrument is in the beginning? it's sounds kinda' like a flute but idk

  • Sounds like a recorder to me.

  • @GrapefruitP perhaps ocarino...please see Troggs' Wild Thing to compare the sound in the solo.

  • @GrapefruitP Mellotron keyboard?

  • lol, acid trip

  • @deathbybagpipes now that you say that it does. thanks.

haha, nice channel name or whatever it's called.

  • Clapton is God

  • God is Clapton

  • How short is Jack Bruce?

  • If Jack is short you should lend him some money

  • omg..I hope Ginger's cigarette doesn't OFFEND any of you Generation X cry babies.

  • not all gen xers are anti-smoking nazis

  • Oh dear. I thought it was a fag he had

  • you know, Gazeff, I do believe you are correct.

  • @achimendez hey guess what?..FUCK YOU

  • you think you have found a new love ?

    remember you once loved two.

    until things will wind up

    just like me and you

  • Cream is a blues band eric's a blues player jack and ginger are jazz players

  • Clapton looks so stoned and out of it in this clip. he must have licked one of those "cream frogs".

  • @cylsan

probably cause he was bummed out that the frogs were smashed to death with a hammer after the intro

  • @cylsan It only works with toads.

  • I have to go with cream lover. Many of their songs kinda had a psychedelic feel, but to me Cream was more of a blues rock band which covered a few genres.

  • Dr. Pepper what do u think psychedelic means?

  • @Mexi- I know its the 60s its just wired that this one song sounds like they were on LSD cuz not allot of there other songs sound like it

  • creamlover are you crazy? creams sound was strictly psychedlic...im sorry for bashin you, but man cmon

  • Not really, their cover of Steppin' Out was very psychedlic and Take it Back seemed to be mainly blues rock with just a hint of psychedlic. Wrapping Paper could even be considered pop.

  • Meant to say cover of Steppin out was very unpsychedlic
