I have many PS2 memory cards, because of my large game collection I need them. Just recently I bought 32mb cards from the local gamestore & they are great. One works really well, because for some reason it has DOUBLE amount of memory in it.

The PS2 was black therefore it made sense to make the memory cards black too! the PS1 memory cards were grey like the PS1 itself! I have other coloured memory cards! transparent red and blue! it seems crazy now paying thirty pounds for 8MB of storage! I never understood why they never increased the capacity of the official memory card at any time during the lifetime of the ps2, they carried on charging £30 for that same 8MB card! what a rip off! third party cards had double that sometimes.

This video is wrong. There's PS2 and PS1 that have stop working because of heat problems or DRE. Next-gen consoles are no better or worse(except early 360 models). Memory cards really don't last that long if you over used them(amount of write/read sequences.I had to reformat my Gamecube memory card from time to time.
