• daddy bit my finger...

  • this vid is too true.

  • I believe in God yet I do not believe in religion. Scriptures are written by mortal men who claim to be prophets. I personally think God is more that capable of writing his own damned books if he chose to.

  • flyerscup08 (2 days ago) Show Hide 0 Marked as spam Reply | Spam Bull shit video! If it wasn't for god we wouldn't have life, macaroni art, beer and anal sex! (should i have capitalized god??).....whatever

    wtf???????????

  • Bull shit video! If it wasn't for god we wouldn't have life, macaroni art, beer and anal sex! (should i have capitalized god??).....whatever

  • Albert and I as does Mary Elizabeth (Tipper) and even our other World Peace Patriot Richard Branson want you to know for the sake of 35 kids murdered at BayPoint School to ensure George W Bush would win the 2000 and 2004 election. Thank you HBO for making the movie RECOUNT and saying Choice Point Software and BayPoint School.

Its time people start screaming in the Streets

AL Gore Jeff Fisher World Peace

Jeff Fisher a True World Peace Patriot that tells the NWO to go away!!!

  • we are saved by grace! not by the works that we do! its hard to understand gods heart! you have to look deeper than that! god didnt make religion! WE did!

  • God didnt make anything because he doesn't exsit.

  • Well done. Thanks.

    "Question everything"

  • Jefferson was a deist but any good deist should question gods existence. Jefferson also grew and smoked cannabis. He was the fucking man.

  • christians scare me like when i run out of toilet paper

  • the one about Marie Curie is stupid cuz God is not to be feared if you know Him. The word fear that appears in the bible is reverence or respect. good job at misinterpreting though.

  • how do u know this?

  • from Greek to Latin then to English...things can get muddled up when translating that many times. fear here means respect. some scriptures yes, do say fear God ultimately.

  • islam isn't a religion of love. it's of hate. Christianity (biblical) isn't a religion, it is a lifestyle.

  • Haha I liked the ending.

This was pretty interesting actually, I always thought Einstein was Jewish, I didn't realise he became an atheist.

I never understood how religious people seem to pick and choose which parts of science they feel like believing and which parts they feel like dismissing in the name of their religious tradition. I.E. You can't honestly believe the story of Adam and Eve over evolution, I mean, really...

  • Just for interests sake; Einstein was not an atheist. As I understand it, he didn't believe in the all powerful God of the bible-but as a true scientist & free thinker, he kept an open mind.

    A quote from Einstein:

'Then there are the fanatical atheists whose intolerance is of the same kind as the intolerance of the religious fanatics and comes from the same source. They are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle.'

  • Einstein did not believe in a personal god. Non-belief in a god makes one an atheist. He thought such belief was childish. He may have been reluctant to call himself an atheist but by definition he was one. Unless you count the laws of nature as god. then he was a true believer.

  • mmm...interesting...I saw a documentary in which they said he said (something like) he was not an atheist and hated that people used some of the things he said to assume that...I do however concede I am not an expert on all things Einstein, so I acquiesce. Thanks for the video - it's the debate the world needs to have especially in light of growing religious fanatisism. And I agree with 3.48 the devotion we need is to 'truth and compassion'!

  • I think the key word in Einstein's quote is "fanatical." We all, believer or unbeliever are certainly capable of being intolerant fanaticals. I think his comment is condemning intolerance not atheism. I do appreciate your comments-thanks.

  • And just wanted to clarify that atheism is not closed-mindedness. Atheists can be very open to the idea of a god, they just need evidence to believe such a thing. And as there is zero evidence to hold such a belief and much evidence pointing to "god" being a human construction, the reasonable position to take is atheism. It is never wise to believe anything without evidence.

  • "I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." - Albert Einstein

  • who is this singing, music is cool

  • The music is by Imogen Heap.

  • I like the song. but whay ar e so amny peopel ahtesits?

  • muslims sure do love thier boiling water!

It honestly baffles me how people can believe this garbage in this age of science and technology. incredibly primal, and a waste of time

  • I think you're taking apocolyptic literature a bit too literally, at best.

  • i am muslim and i say that there is only one god and he is allah, allah is great. and there is hell which disbelievers will burn in. profits do not lie it is the devil that persuades some weak souls to disbelief in allah! god bless us all and may he forgive the confused!

  • Awesome work man. Now I'm off to do what I came here to do: watch the Damned do "smash it up"

  • It is people who take these scriptures literally and out of context, religious or not, who are the sheep.

  • the religious ones are the week ones!!!!!!

  • Religion plays it part in the development of society. It serves to highlight the weak, stupid and easily fooled members of the herd.

  • You'll have your eyeballs sucked out by venomous serpents, and lots more for posting this video!!!!!! Brilliant. Well done - away with ignorance and superstition, its ancient bedfellow. Let's consign all religions to the dark and distant past, when we lived in fear of all we could not understand, and invented gods and rituals to make them easier for our undeveloped minds to accept.

Onward to a world of love, compassion, understanding and the emphasis of all that is good about humankind.

  • I agree. Religion lets people forget about real life and real people by devoting themselves to getting into Heaven. And for some reason they think the way to go about "getting into Heaven" is by being pious assholes to every unbeliever they ever encounter. Great video. ♥

  • you live in real life for short time but you live in heaven for all eternity! or burn in hell for all eternity if your a disbeliever!

  • Then why do we need to 'live' in the 'real life' in the first place? Did you mention that Heaven & Hell not a 'real life'? What's real? How real are you? Delusion & Imagination can be a very dangerous tool indeed... How does one know if he's delusional? How to know who's who delusional? If you said you're not delusional, what's proof other than from other delusional people or objects? Do you dare to go through the same type of skepticisms & scrutiny with your faith as we do with science?

  • Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

  • Great video atomicrobotman7! Although some of these people argue this belief of religion, I restrain myself from ineffectual arguments. It is all a matter of belief for an individual to decide. I personally am an atheist, but i would like there to be a god. In my eyes everyone should want to live in Heaven. Though i see many events and concepts in the bible that could not be truthful.

  • For this reason I think it is important for persons raising children who abstain from religion to educate their children on how this conversion process works. It is purely psychological. The nameless authors of the bible it's self employed many psychological techniques to convince the reader that what they are reading is not merely words. Though if you take a step back that is all it is.

  • Words written down by men. Missionaries not only use psychology as a tool they also seek out persons in week conditions. The homeless, the sick and the hungry for example. Other victims may be emotionally challenged. But these people are harder to pick out. Fortunately for the conversion process, the emotional distraught will find themselves looking to better their condition.

  • Though some fortunately find their way to licensed professionals the majority for a varity of reasons including economic and social dogma refrain from seeking psychiatric help. Some find their way to religious houses of worship. Once there then they are easy picking for the conversion process.

  • I think it truly is important that children understand this process so they may be prepared for the challenge. It is dangerous to allow them to float around in a world where the majority of the population find it necessary to practice primitive irrational forms of socialization. They will find themselves feeling like an outsider. A social outcast or a loner especially in the early stages of their lives.

  • This can have profound psychological impact on their ability to address the question "Do I need religion in my life" as they get older.

  • It has been my experience that an athiest can practice the same degree of fanatacism that any religionist can.

P.557 - §14 28. The argumentative defense of any proposition is inversely proportional to the truth contained.

    From The Urantia Book

  • Of course these books make these claims. They are brain washing scare tactics. It's sad people don't see it for what it is. Hey stuhrw I base what I believe on basic observations not purely on science. I read Ray Comforts book. I've seen many of his pursuasive seminars. I feel sorry for the the man and his narrow minded veiws. He makes hims self look like a fool. His points are so weak. And that conclusion I made with an open mind. My closed mind says "Wow!!! What a moron!!!"

  • Just keep disbelieving it is real... until you see it for yourself. The day will come. ;)

  • Great video. Five stars.

Check out the video "23 minutes in Hell" some Bozo says God gave him a tour of hell and the Sheeple are believing every word.

  • stuhrw, I have finished the book you suggested by Ray Comfort. It was easily the most poorly reasoned book I have ever read. I would be happy to discuss it and The Age of Reason with you anytime.

  • Thank you for this video. CHRISTIANS ARE JUST IGNORANT , the thought of A LOVING GOD that will send people to burn in hell is a complete contradiction of what they claim their God to be, ALL LOGING AND FORGIVING. Christians watch the movie zeitgeist, the truth about Christianity is all there.

  • Atheism IS considered a religion, by definition. (Yes, by all means, look it up). The religion of Atheism focuses on rationalizing that "sin" is acceptable in the absence of God. It's the religion of "the lost". Societies view corruption as acceptable based on their "Atheist Religious Beliefs". Atheism is a very risky gamble, and if you play the odds, most gamblers lose! And, just because Bill Gates was famous, doesn't make him a subject matter expert on religion.

  • Stuhrw, that is a very poor definition. "Sin" does not exist but is a word used by religions to control behavior. Atheism has nothing to do with accepting corruption. You have gambled that you picked the correct god and as you know...most gamblers lose. And you missed the point about Bill Gates. Am happy to continue the conversation on my blog, thanks.

  • I base my beliefs on facts, unlike many Atheists, who base their's on scientific "theories". I'd recommend that you check out a book by Ray Comfort called "God Doesn't Believe in Atheists". Seriously, give it an open-minded read.

  • Stuhrw, You are seriously confused about what "facts" are if you reject the findings of the likes of Einstein and Darwin in favor of the ignorance of Ray Comfort. I strive to always stay open-minded but Ray Comfort is hardly an intellectual giant. However, I will read it if you read any of the works on religion by Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, Dennett or perhaps the classic by Thomas Paine—The Age of Reason. Deal?

  • I give you my word that I'll read one, provided you keep your end of the bargain by keeping me posted on your rebuttals to Ray's points made in the book. Of course, I'll do likewise. Please keep in mind that both Einstein and Darwin doubted the non-existence of a "creator".

  • Stuhrw, Will get Ray's book today. Look forward to discussing it. As for Einstein and Darwin, they, like many atheists, were moved by the grandeur of the universe but came to find the notion of a personal god to be a child-like idea. Their "god" was infinitely larger than the small, petty, violent human projection of a god found in the bible or Qur'an.

  • Glad you're giving the book a read. Please be as objective as possible. I'll opt for your recommended classic; Thomas Paine's "The Age of Reason". Looking forward to constructive discussion.

  • I don't label myself an Atheist. The term just makes it easier for you to lump people into a group. I just disagree with popular religious views for the clear lack of evidence. To follow something just on tradition with out question is purely narrow minded. In other words if you are raised as a child to believe something typically you lack the ability to question what you believe objectively. For previously unreligious people who fall for the pitch...

  • If you look at how this event occurs, you see 80 percent of these once rational thinkers just needed something at that week, really low point in their lives. Though it definitely will pass, they don't feel that eventually everything will work out.. Trapped in the moment they allow themselves to get get blind sided... They give up on rational thinking and after that point they become worshiping zombies.

  • The other 20 percent were week minded to begin with. They just hadn't found a group to join yet. They just always needed something that was lacking in their lives and replace it with religion. They lack the reasoning skills to realize they even have something missing much less figure out just what it is that they are lacking.

  • What other twenty percent? What exactly does religion replace in a persons life? Your entire post makes very little sense. Can there not be a difference between spirituality and religion

  • I smile, as much as I can, because I know there is no god, no jesus, no holy spirit, no hell, only bullshit, like religon

  • Great video. 100% agree.

  • Nice video

  • well.. all those ppl will burn in hell, and so wil the creator of that movie, nd christians nd muslims share many belifs, they both beleive in God so therefore both go to heaven, and no atheists can be happy thinking that there is no point to life but to live and die, everybody needs something to beleive in... so mneh

  • You're right. No atheist can be happy thinking that there is no point to life but to live and die. I'm glad neither I nor any atheist I know believes that.

  • if you read and follow the bible, i think it's important to step back for a minute and decide how you are digesting this book. what could be taken metaphorically is often taken literally. i think its more realistic and productive to read the bible as a story that you can take inspiration from, rather than "god's word".

  • GENESIS 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. 8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"

  • As Ezekiel 28:12 tells us, Satan was "the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty" when he was created. Yet neither he nor any of the other angels were given dominion over the earth initially. Rather, Adam, a being Satan must have considered inferior to himself, was given this power. It's easy to see why Satan's pride led him to sin.

  • . . . God deliberately created mankind to rule the earth, and to accomplish this purpose, he created man as his own image - He made man his co-regent / representative ruler.

  • God's Word clearly teaches the reality of Satan as a personal entity. He is presented as an evil being who affects humanity by his actions. Many details about the devil are available in the Bible, but the facts have to be searched out. In this article we will piece together what the Scriptures have to say about Satan and draw conclusions from the Bible and other available sources.

  • Satan, also known as the devil, is mentioned frequently in the Bible. There are many popular ideas about this evil spirit being. Some think that Satan is not real, but is rather a personification of the wickedness that abides in the world. Others admit that the devil exists, but presume that he is now confined in the fiery pits of an ever burning hell. Still others believe that Satan is free and actively promoting sinfulness in our world today. What is the truth?

  • what is the truth? no one knows. think about how demonstrative and obviously present god and satan were in bible stories, and look at the world we live in. the bible makes a good story, but it's reasonable to leave it as just that. also, i heard somewhere there are over 80,000 registered religions in the world. you could say they are all wrong, only one is right

  • the worm never dies meand your mind will still be alive. You will know that you are being tormented. Read the scriptures right. That's why you are an atheist 'cause you don't want to know the truth. Ask God for decerning of the scriptures he'll give it to you.

  • ...or every religion is clinging to some kind of truth about how the universe works. i tend to believe the latter; every religion is an attempt to understand something beyond "temporal" life. but this might suggest all truth lies in ourselves. it seems plausible to me that every form of life has a connection that creates a collective "god". religion may be a way to tap into that, but too often it just blinds people and causes conflict.

  • lllsamhainllll, I think you make some very good points. I would offer the perspective that truth is what is real. I do agree that we can only approach truth and never fully possess it. It is something to be relentlessly pursued while realizing it can never be fully grasped due to our human limitations. I wholeheartedly agree that religion "blinds people and causes conflict."

  • i agree with your views on the absurdity of believing in god in fear of damnation. but quoting famous people doesn't prove or suggest anything at all. do you put these people on a higher pedastal than yourself?

  • You guys are all fighting over the existence of Hell when you should be asking yourself if good and evil exists. If Righteousness and sin exist. If they do, then God captains one and Satan the other. Come on, we didn't create ourselves....Peace

P.S. Evolution and creation coexist, think on it

  • Good and evil do not exist as entities. They are simply words that describe what a person deems especially helpful or nurturing or especially hurtful or destructive. "Sin" is a religious word that does not "exist" apart from being a concept the church uses as one of its tools to manipulate and control.

  • Larry, When it comes to the idea of a god, neither the theist nor atheist can "prove" the existence or non-existence of such a concept. You

cannot prove that I don't have an invisible pink unicorn in my closet that listens to my prayers but it is reasonable for you to be an a-unicornist due to the lack of evidence I have to support my claim.

  • I don't think comforting the dying, helping the poor, feeding the hungry, loving those who are forgotten by society is a wate of time or money. Through Christ I am able to give HOPE. What do you give? What Hope do you rest in?

  • Larry, I agree that showing compassion is not a waste of time. But showing compassion does not require a belief in any gods. Is it compassionate to teach people that they will burn in hell if they do not submit to and obey your belief system? My hope is to make the world a better place-that is enough for me-I need no hope for eternal life.

  • It is the most compassionate act to warn people of Hell. Our life on Earth is temporal, but Hell is eternal as well as Heaven. Look, Your body isn't who you are. If you lose an arm your your still you. There is something eternal about you and it will go somewhere when you die.

  • i'd like to see some proof on that one...

  • According to atomicrobotman, nothing has to be proven, not even atheism.

  • well i'm not talking about him... i am not he, so you prove it to me.

  • i believe compassion comes from within. some people don't give enough credit to the capabilities of humanity, some would credit every positive aspect of their existence to christ. is it possible you became the way you are on your own? to me, that is much more rewarding than crediting all to religion.

  • I agree that compassion has nothing to do with belief in supernatural beings. Our sense of compassion is a combination of evolution and environment or learned behavior. Religion is totally unnecessary and I believe far more harmful than helpful. People need to recognize and take responsibility for their strengths as well as their weaknesses as being their own rather than attributing them to mythical gods and demons.

  • I really liked this video

  • ) Logic- If I'm wrong -nothing. If your wrong - eternal judgment in a Hell that was made for the devil and his angels. I have everything to gain. You have nothing to look forward when you die

  • Larry, If you are wrong—which you are—it means you have sacrificed your mind, your money, your time, your one and only life, for the lie that you will live forever if you believe certain ideas.

  • You FOOLS think that you have proven anything by your lame excuse for a rational argument? The very foundation of your stance it is not logical. Atheism can not be proved for the very fact that you can't prove a double negative. (Basic Philosophy) The only thing you can be is agnostic. (your just not sure)

  • Larry, Atheism is not something meant to be proven. It is simply a lack of belief. The burden of proof is on the person who makes a claim— in this case, the theist who claims that an invisible superhero in the sky exists. You have absolutely no evidence to support your claim so it is reasonable to adopt the atheistic position.

  • Can't we just give all believers a sanctuary in some empty part of the world, so that the rest of us can get on with our lives?

  • Excellent work! Thank you for making this.

  • The real reason you wont believe in a hell is because if there is all your sins will count agains you and you wont accept Jesus as your Saviour so maybe if you can wish it away it won't really be there. Your like an ostrich with your head in the sand. You may try to deny the truth but its still there.

  • Really Larry, it's o.k. Smile! There is no hell. Go have a cold beer and celebrate. Use that $ the church has manipulated you into giving all this time and give it to some poor kids or go out on a date or something.

  • larryparker, you have no evidence WHATSOEVER to back up a single claim you just made. So it is not truth at all, it is a blind assertion, it is absurd.

  • Worse than absurd it is downright evil. To try and terrify us into accepting the bullshit myth you've embraced, without a shred of evidence is evil. Fuck off you miserable little tosser, and take your bronze age myth with you.

  • Your lack of intelligence is clear from your poor grammar. Pity really, I'd have liked to attacked your lack of argument with some facts and reason, but I don't think you understand it.

  • God is just insecure, thats why he needs all those angels to be his bitches.

  • "So potent was religion in persuading to evil deeds."

"Such are the heights of wickedness to which men are driven by religion."

Titus Lucretius Carus (ca. 99 BCE - 55 BCE)

  • Lucretius had relatively limited pagan examples in mind when he wrote this -- the sacrifice of Iphigeneia to appease the goddess Artemis at the start of the Trojan War, for example. He could not have foreseen what destruction christianity & Islam would inflict upon the world in the next few centuries.

  • I consider the point to be: Here is an educated man of his time, inferring that religion is something that is corrosive to humanity.

  • Yes!!!!!!

  • Excellent video! Keep up the good work!!!

  • Keep up the good work!!!

  • I don't know which is more lame. Being religious or being atheist. Its a tough call... BTW Islam doesn't say Christians will necessarily go to hell because they believe in God. Islam only places certain damnation on atheists. Not that I'm a Muslim or anything.

  • How is it a tough call? Religious people want to kick the shit out of people who don't subscribe to their brand of bullshit. If they don't have the guts for that, they defer to their God to do the shit kicking for them in the afterlife while they gloat. Thats wicked. Atheists, just refuse to treat obvious bullshit with respect, no shit kicking or divine threats included. Try it, it's fun.

  • Bushslayer, You wrote "BTW Islam doesn't say Christians will necessarily go to hell because they believe in God." This is not true. Surah 98:6 says "the people of the book" meaning Jews and Christians were the vilest of creatures and will burn in hell forever. In addition to Jews and Christians it goes on to damn "pagans" meaning all other beliefs or non-beliefs concerning other gods and spirits.

  • @TheModestAgnostic

Agreed. Organized religion is a disease.

    @atomicrobotman

looks like Your right, although It also clearly says in 2:62 and 5:69 that Christians and Jews will go to heaven. Looks like another one of the many contradictions in the Koran.

  • thanks for the info bushslayer. Betrand Russell said of religion: "I regard it as a disease born of fear and as a source of untold misery to the human race."

  • Also worth pointing out is that the reason these religions say you will burn in hell if don't believe is so that their particular religion gains popularity. They scare you into being a believer. Sorry but I don't believe in gods that use scare tactics.

  • Nice vid...I just realized that since Christians will burn in Muslim hell and Muslim will burn in Christian hell, that everyone on Earth will burn in hell. Wow I think I just blow my own mind...

  • This is a good video, thanks. It reminds of a quote by Anton LaVey: "Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years."

  • btw. cry - there's no heaven

  • Anyone know the name of the song and the composer?

  • the song is sweet religion by imogen heap

  • I'd like to see a video that takes the same critical view toward Buddhism. This Eastern philosophy gets off too easy. All forms of Buddhism assert many questionable claims of "truth" and "enlightenment."

  • Sure they do, no argument there .... but they don't suggest that anyone is going to have boiling water poured down their throats, or have eyeballs of fire ... forever. So I find the claims of the abramic religions that bit more objectionable.

  • I agree with you Mod, the myth structure of Buddhism doesn't appear to have the sadistic narrative that the Abrahamic faiths do; and conspicuously lacks a jealous, genocidal, priggish, self contradicting tyrant of a god who would fling unbelievers into eternal fire. I think a religion or philosophy can be promoted, not for its truth, but for its life enhancing qualities and ethical framework.

  • While that may be true (as there are different sects of Buddhism that teach different things, some of which I would consider questionable, and I myself am a Buddhist), Buddhism is a non theistic religion (the Buddha is simply the first person to ever reach enlightenment... he is not a deity, only someone that recommended a new way to live... he even said himself not to take his word for it but investigate on your own).

  • The Dali Lama also states that Buddhism cannot be in conflict with what is known about the world (although what is not known is another topic). If science disproves something, a Buddhist is obliged to change their belief in accordance to it.

So in essence, Buddhism is a philosophy and way of life, and much less like any other religion.

  • "Buddhism is a philosophy and way of life"

Some people literally believe in reincarnation and the illusion of the self.

  • So what? It's bullshit (probably), but it's not "dipping peoples naughty bits in fire for eternity" bullshit. There is bullshit, and there is wicked bullshit. The myth of Hell is a wicked and despicable myth, not simply misguided. A you just dense, or being obtuse?

  • "Are you just dense or being obtuse?"

    ModestAgnostic,

are replying to me???? You're definitely NOT "modest"

    I don't know what you're referring to but learn a little a respect - jerk-off.

  • Oh dear calm down. I'm just disagreeing with you, has that never happened before? I find that unlikely.

  • So atheists are thrust into a world made from nothing, for nothing, and they're all going to be nothing in 100 years or less. And they get really pissed off if you dare disagree with them about this. No wonder you guys are so angry at the universe.

  • Why should I be pissed off because you disagree with my atheism? Why should I be so angry with the universe?

I'm perfectly happy with the idea that my life will end someday. Tried to have a good life like you, I suppose.

And why should I accept some godhead that insults my understanding of nature?

  • You know what the real joke is? It's the same for you. I wish there was an afterlife, just so I could watch your face when you find out there isn't. Oh wait .... DAMN!

  • We say "live and let live." You say "burn for eternity in a lake of fire." And we're the angry ones?

If there is no grand purpose to existence, all there is to this life is what we make of it and we only ever get one shot at it. That's the greatest motivator to live a good life I've ever heard of.

Being angry at the universe, at physical cosmology and evolution, would be ridiculously petty -- and anyway, that response is already reserved by the religious fundamentalists.

  • Grrrrr ... this really is a textbook theist response. Full of the self satisfied gloating that makes me despise you and your ilk. Was I ever such a pompous ass as a theist? Probably .... I'll have to try and channel my contempt into pity ...

  • None of you disagreed with my statement about nothingness. It seems to me that if we came from and are going into nothingness, then all this heated talk is, well, much ado about nothing, unless it somehow helps the human species survive. What evolutionary use are these discussions?

  • It's fun? Shutting down religious idiocy might save a few more lives? Whats the point of spending an eternity on a cloud plinking a harp? We need to grow up and find your meaning independent of some mythical daddy in the sky. I've made the change, why not give it a try?

  • Saving lives is worth discussing. Demonstrate to me how atheism saves lives. Show me the countless hospitals, universities and medical and food missions they founded and how many more lives they saved and comforted.

  • Bill Gates and Warren Buffett donated $40 billion dollars to save lives. They are both atheists. I'd like to see the Catholic Church match that. The EU, where 60% of us are atheists? Gives 3 times as much per capita to the developing world as the "religious" US. Well .... you asked.

  • mrwumpus, Religious belief is inherently divisive. Division leads to conflict and suffering. Reducing suffering and fostering happiness is what makes speaking out about the inherent danger of theism important to me.

  • Very nice!

  • This video doesn't demonstrate anything except that some people believe so strongly that hell doesn't exist, that they think that means it doesn't. Isn't that just the empty flipside of the faith you criticize in religious people?

  • If it does exist, I'll be going down fighting. Kicking, scratching, biting the hand of your tyrant monster God. You've been enslaved, almost certainly by a myth, but if a sufficiently powerful and impressive person, came along you'd fall on your knees form them too. Grow a spine!!! Injustice should always be resisted, whatever it's source.

  • Have you been there?

  • Kudos for your video. I prefer agnosticism however since atheism states as a fact that god does not exist without any scientific evidence to confirm that fact. If there is no scientific evidence nothing should be stated unequivocally even the existence polka dot unicorns ;)

  • "The time to be happy is now. The place to be happy is here."...

Too bad the bible and Qur'an are not filled with the incredibly powerful and beautiful words of Ingersoll! The world might be a much different place. Thanks for posting that and thanks to everyone that has taken the time to watch the video and respond. I greatly appreciate it.

  • Hell is a myth, as is heaven. "The time to be happy is now. The place to be happy is here." --Robert Ingersoll

  • The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist.

  • A quote from fantasist C.S. Lewis? I think you should read books by people who actually had LIVES, not ones from people who lived in fantasy worlds all the time like Lewis and his buddy J.R.R. "Not another [effing] elf!" Tolkien

  • its just a quote i heard - i never read the book - i could care less really what you think i should read.

the quote has meaning to me so i shared it.

  • to badcan

Actually, the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convining the world that he had a son born of a virgin.

  • sanjivb53,

I would be happy to send you the original powerpoint file if you would like.

  • Great presentation. Loved it. I'm going to turn it into a powerpoint presentation and send it to the whole office. Thanks Atomicrobotman17. Keep em coming. Every one of these arrows meet their mark someplace unexpected.

  • Well said!

  • More ratings!!! We must have more RATINGS!!

  • Christians will not burn in the Muslim hell, because the Muslim hell does not exist. Muslims will burn in the real Hell, though, as it says in the Word of the Lord.

  • Amen to that brother. Damn infidels!!!

  • Good stuff. I like the music.

  • In fact lets stop calling it 'blind faith', after all blind people arn't stupid, lets call it what it really is STUPID FAITH!

  • Good point acme181169. Let's stop insulting the blind! I've saved your comment in my Forum Gems file. Thanks.

  • Nice video and good choice of music. Simple and striking; well done.

  • One thing no Atheists ever seem to point out is the fact that every single victim of the holocaust is burning in hell according to christians. All those innocent men women and children who were brutally killed in mass numbers were also roasted by a loving god afterwards. Delightfull.

  • Good point .... awful, horrific point really, but yeah. What a wonderful God he is eh?

  • George Carlin's opening peice on religion is one of the best explanations of the irrationality of god and hell.

  • Seems the company I find myself in is preferable to heaven in any event. Great video. Thanks for the post.

  • Great video. I just hope you haven't been censoring the comments. That's what Christians do here on youtube.. heh.

  • Fabulous presentation, and nice positive message. Yay you!

  • End your godless atheistic ways! Join the One True Religion of Pastafarianism! Or at least become a spagnostic. RAmen.

  • But if hell doesn't exist and we can't go there after we die, what gives life meaning?

  • We do! Yay! Lets hear it for human initiative!

  • You're a pretty shallow person if that's all that drives you.

  • I think thats what you call sarcasm!

  • Look at the guys name: advancedatheist!

  • Ah that dastardly infidel!!! He drew me in and played my like ... like ... some form of fluted musical instrument. Blasphemers all of you!!!

  • I am no blasphemer! I am a Saint of Pastafarianism you know.

All you need to do is convert three people, or put on a pirate eye-patch and say yargh!

  • Great video! This is my first time on Youtube, and I seem to have accidentally rated it with 3 stars. I intended 5. Can I change it somehow?

    Sorry. Unforgivable sin.

  • Cool video. NIce work!

  • Okay Christians, do I burn in Muslim hell with you, or in Christian hell with the Muslims? Or do you take turns burning me at set intervals, or do you both burn me together at the same time??? "Pray" tell...

    Great video by the way!!

  • The prevailing theory is that you are burned in both hells simultaneously. Thats the tricky thing with eternity and infinite justice. Want a teabag with your boiling water? No cups though.
