A question: What software do you use for your scrolling text? I have tried many a program with little success for smoothness of display.

Everything you see here is done in Window Movie Maker.

If you already use it I'd suggest extending the length of the clip 10 - 20 seconds beyond what it recommends for smoother/slower credit screens.

I wasn't able to find a way to have a smooth scroll of "credits" without entering every few words on a line by themselves.

If that is what you are doing, you have far more patience than I do. :-)

Of course if there is an easy way to do it, I would appreciate the info.
