The so-called "Palestine" really was called The Land of Canaan. This was where God promised to Abraham and his descendants to enjoy. @Jaclynn1987: Muslims are also descendants of Abraham. The only difference is between Ishmael and Isaac, and who Abraham was ordered to sacrifice. So by your theory, if God promised Abraham and his descendants to live and enjoy the land of Canaan, Muslims would also be part of that. Just an FYI before you reply with something derogatory. I am not emphatic towards Muslims in particular. I believe all races should be treated equally. I am just pointing out the flaw in your argument.

People would have a LOT MORE sympathy for the Jews, and what their people suffered in the ghettos of the 2nd WW... if it weren't for the fact that THEY are presently doing the exact same thing to the Palestinians!
For every Ruthka or Anne there's a Palestinian version with much the same story of being trapped in squalid surroundings, with little food and an over-bearing military force ruling their lives.
