  • @MotherNaturesSon7 glad you're into the Hollies they are such an amazingly talented and underrated band! Have fun discovering the band members and their songs! ;D

  • @heymaryann1 thank you !!! They are definitely one of the best bands... i admire tony's guitar (and vocals) talents the most..... να περνας καλα!

  • Hi everyone ! Please, can you tell me the names of the songs ? (i don t know the last two)....i got into hollies about a week....they are great, very talented......thank you folks!

  • @MotherNaturesSon7 The last two songs are On A Carousel & Sorry Suzanne. Have fun discovering the many GREAT Hollies songs. The are THE BEST BAND EVER!! Welcome to Hollies Nation!! (The Hollies have some awesome fans, too!)

  • All these songs were heard in Arica... Chile... i was 14 years old about...Tears are falling from eyes.. thinking when I was a teenager playing soccer with my friends at school.. I was fall in love with Silvia Pizarro ..where are you little girl? In those days.. existed so much respect for a woman,,, the last 40 years.. society has change for bad.. all the way!

  • bloody awesome stuff - most bands today would have to eat their hands to match even one of these songs - before auto tune, when singers could sing and musicians were in bands and played on their own records - saw these guys in 1984 and didn't realize how lucky I was then - i do now.

  • @bav854 what happened? I looked but couldn't see. : )

  • @60s4everanever This is one of my fav moments. Allan does the intro & backs away a little from the mic. The music starts & he has to hurry to be on time. Tony & Terry are both smiling at this.

  • @heymaryann1 I see it now, thanks for pointing it out! Whenever I watch this video it always makes me smile because all of them are too, it is so cute. Thanks again : )

  • tony hicks was very underrated as a guitarist.

  • at the very start of just one look allan just about got caught out. by the smile on tony's face he saw what happened.

  • Where's the pedal for the bassdrum?

  • @BailErik look at 4:40.

  • This is excellent! Rock on!!

  • I love 'em! They were the sound track for the 60's! When you get tired of all the run-down music of the era, these guys will pick you back up!

  • @PhillipSmith44 Absolutly! Their Dylan cover album the Hollies Sing Dylan is one of favourite all time albums.

  • LOVE THIS!!! Terry does the harmonies brilliantly, they are so soft and clean and don't take over the lead vocals like Graham's used to do, I have nothing against the graham nash era o the Hollies but Terry sing amazingly. Love the smiles on their faces throughout the whole medley! This video is one to cherish thanks sooooo much for posting!!! : )

  • CONGRATULATIONS HOLLIES on your long overdue induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Thanks for posting. Peace to ALL.

  • no mames que video tan chingon hehe :O

  • great..this is music... my time..

  • I melt when Terry and Tony smile at the beginning. The Hollies hit the jackpot when they added Terry to the group. He's the cutest thing I've ever seen and he gets even better looking as the years go by! His voice was a perfect match for the group and he was a great musician, too.

  • Can you imagine this is a LIVE performance??? I'm a 25 year old girl and can appreciate this way more than those made stars with no talent who rule the music world nowadays. Bravo!

  • @niekpiek Lol I'm a 26 yr old boy and I do like it two more than all the bieber fievah's togetha nowadays!

  • Outstanding!! Great Stuff here!!

    5X5 Stars!!

    ~Matt~

  • Great performance. I think " Bus stop " and " On a Carousel " are the strongest and perhaps should have been the last two songs; with " Just One Look " and " Sorry Suzanne " as the first two songs. Regards.

  • tonys cute .....

  • Great to see a beautiful crisp black and white videotape rather than a second generation filmed copy. This must have been one of the last monochrome shows done by BBC One as they went over to colour in 1969.

  • @SuperMikecarp Yeah...Gets me how far behind the times the BBC were compared to the American Networks, who had started the gradual tranisition to color beginning in the late 1950's, whereas it took the Beeb more than 10 years to catch up to them. Regardless, this IS beautiful footage. And I agree that it's nice to see suriving first-generation video footage rather than the smeared-looking film copies.

  • Great live medley: I particularly like Tony's lead guitar sound, thanks for posting this; regards.

  • Being underrated is an understatement.I have always been a Beatles fan,but recently came across The Hollies via Utube. And I was blown away by the all the songs and performances The Hollies have done.A great example is the video above.

  • The Hollies are an overlooked and underrated band from that time period especially in the US. They had great chart success in the UK but never had much chart success in the US for some reason. It's strange, certain songs were huge hits in the UK while doing almost nothing in the US.

Ironically, their biggest US hit, "Long Cool Woman" hit #2 in the US in 1972 but

only reached #32 in the U.K.

  • @TonyJenRock,

Nash left the Hollies at the end of 1968. He was replaced by Terry Sylvester in 1969.

    @lollebolle,

This is the Hollies second Bass player Bern Calvert. He lasted with the band from 1966-1981.

  • which one is Nash?

  • i agree with you on them being in r&r hall of fame. never saw them but if they ever come to kentucky i will bust a move to see them!

  • How good were they????

  • awesome!

  • I saw the Hollies last week. Still packing them in. Excellent show. I first saw them live in1966 as a teenager. The only difference this time was not hearing Alan Clark on lead vocals and the top harmonies of Graham Nash. Still a very enjoyable night out.

  • gehören zu meinen favoriten, aber der sound des videos u. die spiel action passen nicht zusammen.

  • I grewup in the 60's listening to the Britsh Bands and they were good!!! The Hollies were not my top faves, but I did like their music. Didn't much like the helmet look to their hair, I liked more of a tailored look that some guys started to wear.

  • Whos the guys on BASS?

  • Allan's voice is flawless...

  • This was a few years after Graham Nash split for CNY, but they still sounded good.

  • @poopal i agree pwhoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh @ tony hicks xxxxx

  • Back when music didn't suck...

  • THis is Good!!!!! We can see some of these bands influencing the indie genre of today.

  • Qualidade à prova de tempo! Belas vozes, belas canções e muitas, muitas saudades.

  • absolutely perfect , absolutely live . people dont realise how good you have to be to perform these so good totally live with no gimmicks , just playing through the amps straight . incredible. mind you 46 years on and still packing em in is praise enough.bobby inspired me to play drums and i'm sorry but ive nicked your windmill effect bobby but if i get asked i always tell them it's yours!

  • i liked this band better when they were named the beatles

  • @HumanAccount Oh hey look everyone. It's a douche bag. Lets study it.

  • @TheRealistWayofLife are you trying to tell me this band did not rip off the beatles?

  • @HumanAccount The Beatles " ripped " off Elvis, Dylan, Chuck Berry, and the Byrds. Most of the bands around that time sound the same, cause that was the style then. Everyone sounds like someone else. I'm the biggest Beatles fan you'll find, but 3 part harmonies doesn't make something a rip off of the Beatles.

  • it looks like hard day's night film...so they were 5 years late!

  • I really LOVE this medley....sounds SO good.

  • 0:25...Allan almost late coming in...oops!Great save though!!! Cute smiles from Tony and Terry when they notice.

    Love you guys xxx

  • Is Bobby Elliot really playing drums in this video? Looks kinda fake. Great group though

  • emonster2001,dude the concert is live.

  • como se llama la cancion que la cantan aqui 3:29 si fueran tan amables

  • sorry Suzanne. Y este año Los Hollies entran al Rock and roll de la fama

  • gracias : )

  • me gusta esta parte 1:02

  • I remember skating at the roller rink listening to Bus Stop way back in the 60s. Still sounds great!! Thanks for posting all these great clips.

  • How did you find all these clips? Are the Hollies still performing today?

  • @osgood54 yes they are still performing today. albeit with tony hicks (lead guitar/vocals) and bobby elliot (drums) left from the original group.

  • Pleased to hear TERRY will be attending the induction into the RRHOF at the Waldorf Astoria N York City on 15th March..

  • Hot medley

  • The same question could be asked about bassists Bernie Calvert and Eric Haydock.

Calvert depicted here, was in the band from '66 until '82.

I hope they will all be in attendance.

  • The big ???? who will show up at the R&R Hall of Fame induction Graham or Terry or maybe even both...

  • Can anyone be any cuter that Tony? I think not.

  • Awesome awesome awesome!

  • incredibly tight harmonies and such a pure sound. Great recording!

  • Thanks again so very much for posting this vintage concertQ! You ROCK!

Be still my fluttering heart! The Hollies at the height of their GORGEOUSNESS!

♥Tony is my favorite. He's so cute and sexy here! Terry too! ♥ Of course-

The Hollies' musicianship was none too shabby here-they clearly are at the height of their powers!♫♪

  • Tony looks so handsome. They all did!

  • I wish they'd come to America again to play. Now is a good time. The 60's style (music, clothes, Beatles, etc.) is very popular now again. It would be cool to see them and maybe even meet Tony at a meet and greet : )

  • Yeah, the R&R Hall of Fame has its collective head up it a** by ignoring the Hollies. Great harmonies, talented playing, live stage charisma, etc. More appropriate than Blondie, Parlaiment, Gladys Knight and Grandmaster Flash.

  • @newerafrican Theyve ignored the Moody Blues as well, another outstanding band.

  • Man, The Hollies were Good...

  • The Hollies were not only great, they are the most underrated group from the '60s or anytime in pop music.

  • WOW! TERRY has no trouble filling GRAMHAM's shoes! for me, the most AWESOME group EVER!!...

  • nice medley and Tony is so cute here

  • Thanks so much Nyrainbow for these great vids...I have them all now and watch them every day!!

  • Spectacular ! !!

I only wish the arrangement could've

    included Tony Hicks, blistering guitar

    solo from Sorry Suzanne.

    I'm not saying, I'm just saying. :)

  • thank you

  • "The first one goes like *this*!" Oh Gawd, how sexy was it the way Allan said that, especially his emphasis on the word "This" Gives me shivers! ow!

  • what fantastic bass lines from bernie brilliant

  • Bernie is so fantastic!

  • ITA!!! LOL...Funny how we hang on every little word and gesture from this concert...it is pure magic!

  • Bravo!! Applause!! What can I say...there are no words fine enough for such an incredible performance...and they are SO HANDSOME!!! I'm exhausted.....

  • the Hollies shows once again that they are teachers in the art of using the voice as an instrument. In this song, however, there arenot the wonderful harmonies, but there shines the awesome voice of Allan Clarke, one of the most powerful, splendid and at the same time underrated lead singer of pop rock all times

  • Finally, someone's posted this concert. Thank you nyrainbow4. Love this medley from the awesomely talented Hollies!
