I just got a new Mac 138 brush, is it supposed to be pretty flat? Mine's not fluffy at all. Maybe it's because it's new...?

Lisa, I just found a MAC 138 Look-ALike Brush on Ellebang (Confidential) Brush Website. I wanted to know if you could make a Review and Comparison to their Brush. It's called the " Tapered Face Brush" and it's only $18.00 Bucks!!! Wouldn't that be AWESOME, since it's Super hard to find the MAC 138 brush in itself, let alone a dupe.. some CCO's might have the 165- you should call around or Ebay- but since it was a LE product it might be difficult to find! :o(

It is hard to tell how long they will have them- it dependso n how many they have and sometimes they send them to CCO's when they dont have room for them anymore!

The 168 is very flimsy, so I would say the 138 or the 109 is great for contoring also! :o)

Awesome for liquid foundation! Check out gossmakeupartist as he did a video on this explaining why he loved this brush. He is also going to do a demo using it with the MAC Sculpt & Shape soon, if I'm not mistaken. I tried the brush after seeing his vid and I am a convert :-)

The 138 is such an underrated brush. It is one of my top MAC brushes. You really have to see it and use it to know why it's so great. It feels amazing on the skin and it blends so wonderfully - I love using it with bronzers and MSFs!

Hi Lisa, which do you prefer for contouring, the 109 or the 165? I have the 168 but do not like it, I've been thinking of getting the 109, I even went to MAC once but the MUA talked me out of it... to this day I still dont like the 168, so if I were to get one of those two (109 or 165), which would you recomend? thanks...

I know you aren't asking me, but I have the 109 for contouring and it works very, very well. I also use it for blush and MSFs sometimes, and it works well for that also. I used to use the 116 for contouring, and it works okay for that, but it's better suited for blush so I got the 109 and it works wonderfully for contouring. Hope you like whichever brush you decide on.

that is completley personal prefrence- there is no standards on that! Some people can get by with just one some people can have 5 of a certain brush! :o)
