  • You didn't say " hello again everybody " :)

  • lmao favorited just for that last comment

  • the cards r like floating at 1:20

  • Max is a cutie!!

  • Lol, good video.

    Loved the final comment.

  • What we have here is a big mess (LOL). Is max your [I'm assuming grandson] by the way he doesn't look entertained by the meloncoly wave he flashed at the camera.

  • @AnEternityOfMagic lol its his son

  • was he crying

  • @KITTYCATCUTE100 cause they did that shit 75 times XDXD

  • Hey! at the end "now you can get a life"

I wanted to see a trick!

just kidding, you got good tricks :3

  • check out my channel, I currently have a kick-ass card trick up, going too be uploading alot more

  • Hi Max!

  • So, what about that airplane food?

  • Think about this simple demonstration next time you pray for something and it actually happens. Better yet, write down every single prayer for something specific to happen at a certain time on a certain day. The results are due to random chance, not the "power" of prayer. Scientifically conducted studies have consistently shown this to be true. For just one of hundreds of examples, Google Prayer doesn't help heart patients, study says

  • LOL

  • i tink dis trik wasn done in a single try .... d guy mustve done multiple tries n uploaded d 1 dat workd :D smart guy ... wel done mate

  • You don't see the cards get shuffled, so they could just have been set up like that. Also the cards are outside of view of the camera at some point, so a third person could have replaced those two cards. It is also possible that they just recorded it over enough times until it happened.

  • @svommams566 - Yeah, I agree. Although even if he did cheat for the video, it's still a pretty cool way to demonstrate this counter-intuitive fact.

  • @svommams566 that's what he said he did

  • the bicycle cards were so diffrent then

  • i think now i will get a life

  • aquí son todos estúpidos? no ven que la segunda carta esta marcada con un plástico transparente que refleja luz al ser tomada.

  • The probability is actually 1 in 2,652.

  • i agree that there is a probability of 1 in 52 to happen, but still its hard to believe that this guy recorded 73 videos saying "Hi max", we have 2 decks blah blah blah.. 73 shuffles and picks.. and after 73 unsuccessful tries, which means about 2,5 hours, he is just saying SO calmed "king of spades".. if this really happened, truly you need to get a life!

  • @nickyzoukos u go get a life

  • i'm not good at that math stuff but i have a feeling thats not right u wanna tell me if i have to catch 1 card out of 52 the chances are 1:52 .. right ok sounds correct, but if i have 2 decks and the cards have to match the odds are the same? so if i have 10 decks and i have to catch 10 aces with the same suit the chance to get it right is still 1:52 ? actually that would amaze me if that was true...

  • @aRsh0 the odds are 1:52 because you are trying to match one RANDOMLY selected card to its partner. It's corresponding card is one of 52 possibilities so the probability of catching the matching card is 1 in 52. The odds of picking a specific card (specifically going out to match the 7 of diamonds with itself) with it's partner would be 1:52/1:52 = 1/2074, which accounts for its counter-intuitive nature. This is suggests that catching 10 identical suited aces is 1 to several trillion trillion.

  • i think max has x-ray vision

  • that was fake

  • did he say last phrase: now go get a life? XD

  • *yawn*

    Obviously scripted.

  • Please send me a message if I'm right, before you told him what cards to pick and if u look closely at his shuffles they aren't really shuffles and then u say all that odd stuff but u 2 know their the say, it's all acting but ur so good at it and tell max I say well done

  • man you s@@@

  • Doubtful that was 72 takes.

Do you really think Max doesn't know the answer is "1/52" after 72 takes??

    ;-)

  • You want to know one of the worlds most amazing statistical facts?

    google "Monte Hall Problem wiki"

Pose the simple problem to ANYONE and they will get it wrong

  • man u guys need to shut up, mismag822 is just a pro ha is the best that ever happend to YouTube he is a RAEL pro!! so shut up

  • He mixed up the cards really good.....lol

  • Dude, the kid doesn't mix the cards at all. He obviously knows where the cards are

  • Max was crying at 1:32

  • thumbs up if u thought max was crying at 1:32

  • haha that's why mismag and max were so tired...72 times...well done guys.

  • One thing i dont understand is that you will show your sons face but you ignore all the comments that ask you to show your face THUNPS UP IF YOU AGREE!

  • Two king of spades what?!

  • max is so cute ^^ hi max =)

  • what if i mixed 3 or more decks of card together? Does the probability still be 1/52?

  • @sankaii only if you asked him to find three of the same card

otherwise it'll be 1/78 or something like that

  • @sankaii It's simple :

The first card can be anything so 1/1 chance.

The second card must be the same as the first so 1/52 chance.

The third card must be the same the 2 before so again 1/52 chance.

    The final chance is 1/ 1*52*52 = 1/2704

  • @sankaii well yeah... say you mix 3 decks ( blue, red and black decks )... you pick 1 random card from the black deck and you have to find a match from either the blue or red decks.

There are 52 in each deck = 104 total... there are 2 chances that he finds the right ? 2/104...

BUT he has only 1 chance to find it... so 1/52 chance

  • THose who dont know probability. The first card was not specified!!!!!! The probability to chose any red card is equal to ONE. That is why the Prob is 1 in 52.

    He is correct.

    Finished.

  • XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • tutorial

  • Seventy fucking three times. That's still very early to get 2 same cards man

  • @minhmeo1209 that is about average

  • wiggidywiener you are so gay

  • i LOL'd when you explained how you did it... that was nice.

  • bit pointless dont you think?

after you explain what you did

  • lol "now...we can get a life"

  • the kid gave it the worst mix ever

  • @irishdan2007 his arms might have gave out on him after try 64...

  • @brodysdaddy lol

  • @irishdan2007

Give him a break, he was tired. lol

  • mismag822 i think u r a great magician dont listen to the gay stuff that other people say there just jealous

  • @Magician592511 it's not a magic show, lol, by the end of the video, he said he tried this for 73 times until they got it right. :D

  • (To add onto my previous comment below)

but the first red backed card can be any card, you are not aiming to pick any certain card you have no probability of picking a "wrong card" per say, its a free choice. then you have a 1/52 probability of choosing the same card as the red backed card.

  • yes it does make sense to say that the probability is actually 52 x 52 which is 1/2704 however this is not the case, in actually mismag822 is right in saying the chances are 1/52, because after picking the red card you are eliminating all other red cards and then you have to chose 1 of the 52 blue cards. If you said "I want you to pick a red backed king of spades and then pick a blue back king of spades" then mixed up the cards and picked one, then you would have a 1/2704 probability

  • the kid dose'nt realy mixed the cards!!! it is a bullshitttttttttttttttttt!!!! why you doing all this probabilty calculation, why to spend time on this shit

  • That is a common misconception. But, the guy in the video is right when he says there was a 1 in 52 chance of this happening. Looking at all possibilities, there are 2704 possible pairs of cards that could have been picked, of which 52 combinations are a match. Hence, the probability of picking a pair is 52 divided by 2704, which equals 1 in 52.

  • @treemantris yup it doesn't matter what you pick first. but on the second try you have to pick the same one as the first. It would be 1 * 1/52 = 1/52

  • @treemantris You're correct but this is a ridiculous waste of time... 1.9% odds that this happens?? so who gives a shit? i could throw out 1% odds all day. Why does this mean anything?

  • Comment removed

  • @easytutorialsteam

    he was right!!!!

mismag822 try over and over again to get the same card.

once he got it then he post the video.

    he might try over100 times!!???

  • wow i have watched alot of ur vids but this was a setup i dont care howmany times u said u have tryed its a lie

  • why did he start crying after the trick was done?

  • this is bullshit

  • I know it's a kid, but you can just see through the trick by the way he "mixes" them.

  • the odds are 1 in 52.

the first card you pick doesn't effect the chances at all. out of the second deck there is 52 cards and the likely hood of you selecting the same is 1 in 52.

  • tutorial pls

  • he said he did it 72 times over and over again till they had the right cards xD

  • Theres no tutorial for the probability card trick he tried this 73 times and once it worked he posted the video

  • its setup dork

  • why does he then say in the video he tried 73 times then :/ ?

  • if its true hes just a bigger dork than i thought..poor kid..

  • hello again everybody?

  • REVELAED

  • The outs are 1/52 as Grigos13 perfectly explained...

  • it is not 1/2074 , actually it is 1/52. at first you have 104 cards and two decks.Let's say you choose one from the blue deck, then there are still 52 cards from the other deck to choose from.if the decks were identical, the it would be 1/103

  • the odds are not 1 in 52 actually but 1 in 52 squared (nCr P^r Q^n-r) which is 1 in 2074 so you got it pretty quickly for 70 or so tries

  • no, it would be one in 2074 that they would both be one preset card. say, tht they would both turn out to be a 6 of hearts. but the chance is based solely on the second card. and your second pick is one card out of 52.

  • ahhh i see ok thanks for clarifying that

  • in pee man. in pee,

btw, i meant np (no problem) haha.

  • "And now we can get a life"

    haha thats awesome xD

  • Wouldn't the probability just be 1/103

  • Oh wait... forgot to account for fixed variable. To get matching cards (i.e. A of hearts, A of Spades, A of diamonds... etc) there are 52 possible matches. So whatever the first card he flips over, all he has to say is will it match the second card, and the odds are 1 in 52.

again 52 matching cards out of 2704 combos (52/2704)... is 1 in 52.

you may get matching cards 1 in 52 times, but you wont get matching King of spades 1 in 52 times.

  • Well you are accounting for variable change. If we had known that we were suppose to pick the King of Spades, the odds are 1 in 52.

However we don't know what card to pick because we are picking two cards at random. With two separate decks there is 2704 different combination's... 1 in 52 is wrong.

However, percentages are not the issue. He probably did this 4 or 5 times with his son to get the trick right.

  • btw Max is so cute :)

  • he said theyve done it 73 times??!!

    hes torturin the child

  • The probability of getting two kings of spades is 1/2704. But he is not trying to get two kings of spades. He is trying to get two of the same card. So, (1/52 multiplied by 1/52)....but this is then multiplied by 52 because there are 52 different combinations of two of the same card. So the odds are 52 to 1.

  • Why is your son like crying or something?

  • percent

  • the probability of the two card are the same is:0.96153846153846153846153846153846

  • thats true. i worked it out as the same.

  • 2 in 104 cancels down to 1 in 52 :P Even so, Jezza is right.

  • 2 in 104 simplifies to 1 in 52 stupid

  • What happend to "Hello again everybody!"?

  • this is one of his first videos. He Used thet line later

  • lol "and now we can get a life"

  • The chance is actually 1/2704 since there are two decks.

    1/52 for each deck

    52*52 = 2704

  • its actually 1/52

because it doesnt matter what the first card is

it just matters that the second card is the same as the first. 52 in the second deck

  • "and now we can get a life"

Damn i laughed so hard when you said that XD

  • you could have used a marked deck of cards perhaps

  • mismag822 maybe you should do the trick again with 3 decks of 3 different colours to confuse these people even more

  • in that case the chance is 1/2704 :) Alittle harder than 2 decks :P

  • hahahaha 73 times... poor kid

  • Wrong. It would be 1/2704 if I told him to find two king of spades. I told him to pick ANY red card, which is the same as saying name any card in the deck. The chances of finding in the blue deck are 1/52

  • show your face

  • @mismag822 Yes you're right. Cos after the first card is picked. There's only 1 of 101 cards that is the same. and if you take out all the cards that are same color, it comes down to 1 in 52....

  • @mismag822 explain

  • too right mismag822 in ur face BboyNuui

  • omg, why does SO many ppl think it's 1/2704?

When calculating chance, u take number of favorable results devided on the number of posible results. Now, the for the first card, ANY card is favorable because all the cards have a identical card in the other deck. So it's 52/52=1.

Then we got the second deck. After one card is chosen, that deck has only ONE favorable result. 52/1=52

    Therefore the chance is 1/52.

Besides, do you think they would only do that 72 times if the chance was 1/2704? :)

  • congrats sir. you have pwned everyone here. my hat goes off to you!

  • If you weren't sarcastic, thank you :)

  • i wasnt. honestly, I didnt think it was 1/52 either..but you explained it quite well. I completely understand it now.

  • @BboyNuui your a dumbass he picked 2 random cards in 2 decks which have 52 cards each--52+52=104

    2 in a 104 chance is simplified to 1 and 52 chance

  • lol at the last two seconds he said "now we can get a life."

  • actually there's even more amazing probability trick - ask a spectator to think about any of the 52 playing cards. Then show them a random card. The chance to get it right is 1/52, so if you do it on 104 people you may even get two right. I don't know about you, but if someone did that on me and show me the card I was thinking of I'd seriously freak out

  • Or you can just use the invisible deck :)

    google it ;)

  • will u ever show YOUR face

  • ya we saw ur cute 8yr old son max we wanna c u....lol

  • It's enough to iraskirate my moisenflay! It's also extremely extreme. I haven't observed anything so abracadubious since 'who kissed the moose'!?! In fact, I haven't been so confusified since my Aunt Agnes with the wooden leg grew a moustache (Aunt Minnie grew the moustache - not the wooden leg!)

  • well I think the kid just remembered where were the kings :P before u did the vid

  • first they were all kings of spades then when the camera went off of the table they were changed! HAHA!

  • Scenario 1: I have a card in a deck and randomly pick from a deck, hoping for the same card.

    This is 1/52

Scenario 2: I have 2 decks; deck A and deck B. I pick a card, first, from deck A, then another from deck B.

For each card in A, there are 52 other cards pickable in B. A is still undetermined.

    Therefore, 52 cards which have 52 branches; or 52^2 = 2704 possibilities.

    Each branch has a 1/52 chance of a match. 52 branches, 1 chance each, = 52 chances.

    52/2704 = 1/52 chance.

    Youwin

  • No! You are all wrong! I am good at maths.

If you have 52 red cards and 52 black that totals 102 cards. If you pick 2 cards, then you have 100 cards left and, 99 wont get picked....(with me so far?) If you have to pick 1 card that makes the probabilty 99/106 . But if 2 cards get picked (divide by the 2 cards you pick of course) that gives 54, minus your 2 cards = 52

So, 1 in 52 chance is correct.

Easy when you know how eh?

If a man has 4 boys and 1 girl? What are the odds of another son?

  • Anyway, it is a trick. You say its not a trick but also say it took 73 attempts. No way is the kid hanging around for that long picking 146 cards until you got it. Also, you wouldnt have to tell Max, to say hello, put the card there, (pointing where), and asking him the odds which he didn't know. He'd know after 72 other attempts.

Either setup, or just a great trick.

I will go with the great trick option. Well done...... but no way a coincidence/odds whatever! NO WAY JOSE!

  • the odds are still 50/50 for a boy.

  • yea you must fail school 1st mistake (grammar) I am good at maths, I think you mean math. second off (Math) 52+52 does not equal 102 smart guy... (With me so far?)

  • Morons. Its a joke as everyone is coming up with their own theories when really there is 1 way of working it out. If you look closely nothing I wrote made sense, yet I came up with the right answer. Its irony. You must be what they call an American

  • you are good at maths.. what is 52 + 52 ? 102 or 104? ...

  • you must be what they call an ass

  • No, an ass is a donkey mixed with a horse. Can't see one of those typing..........What an American thing to say..........SOOOOOOOOO DUMB it is unbelievable. No scratch that, it's very believable. You shouldnt be alive if you are that dumb. You are wasting natural resources that the rest of us deserve to use over you. Here's a trick....Shoot yourself in the brain,(might need a shotgun to be sure to hit it) See what happens and report back with your findings. You'll be pleasantly suprised. ByeBye

  • 5=5=9!

  • ugh dude u confuse me..

  • hey mismag . is there a tutorial for this or is this a self workin trick i really want to know

  • 52/1 odds is wrong, why? ok here it is finally. so u say u didnt name a card, then what we have is 4 x value cards per deck. so the odds of finding the matching second x value card is 4/52 per deck, or 7.7% chance per deck. thankyou, goodnight.

  • dave93vert no disrespect, but it's very simple. Imagine I only had one deck of cards, and told you to find the king of spades, then your odds would be 1 in 52, right.

This video is the EXACT same thing. I first ask Max to pick any RED card. This is the same as me telling him to NAME any card. Now he must find the matching card from the BLUE deck. There are 52 BLUE cards. The odds are 1 in 52 OR 51 to 1 (In the video I say 52 to 1 which is wrong)

  • you said in the forum that u did not specify it had to be a spade!! we interpret that as any king from the second deck will suffice, so 4/52 odds. but if u had specified to find same suit and value, then its 1/52.

  • He said the same card from the other deck, how isnt that clear enough? A king of hearts isnt the same card as a king of spades, for example.

  • wouldn't it be 1:104 if u told him to pick them at the same time?

  • 5tyjr5ujeywmeuiyh4uiotyhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii66666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666

  • maybe max is an accomplice.

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry. You are wrong. If I had said find two King of Spades,

then the odds would be one in 2704. This is because once he picks a red card, that eliminate the other 51 red cards, because his next pick will be blue. HOWEVER, I did NOT NAME a card. The 1st Card was a completely random choice. Same as if I only had one deck. The odds of picking the first card WERE 100%. So the odds of finding the matching blue card are 1 in 52.
