as for everyone else. Aleiwnare is just a PC it runs the same OS has the same parts (literally the same) so when you build it yourself it is much cheaper to get the same thing. Only thing alienware has that you cant build is the case and the logo and the lights. not performace.

Alienware is the worse company to buy from. Overpriced junk. They don't back up their products they build. As soon as the warranty goes out they no longer treat you as a valued customer and will cost you 4x what you paid if something goes wrong and you need your system fixed. This goes for both Labtops and Desktop systems.

Building isn't for everyone, not everyone knows how to do it. And if you say a 14 year old should build one, he can't just borrow his mom's credit card every 2 seconds to order a new part. Only go for the laptop if it ABSOLUTELY HAS TO BE PORTABLE. The desktop will give you much more bang for your buck. (much more powerful). I personally would not go for alienware at all find the parts used in the system you want and build it youself its much more costly to buy it from alienware!
