The only time that Tibet was part of China was during the Yuan and Qing dynasties. Both of these dynasties were not Han Chinese dynasties. Tibet even conquered China's capital during the Tang dynasty. I guess since your state censors the truth, you might not know these things, so I forgive you.

All of Ireland wanted Independence from Britain. NOt just the NOrth. Check your history. I understand that independence under the Chinese system may start a landslide they CHina could not stop. However, if China gives Human Rights, Freedom of PRess, Freedom of SPeech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom to Assemble, then the situation would be a lot better. If we stand for this, then we are pulling the tug of war in the right direction.

Please be crystal clear in mind that the world (United Nations)recognize Tibet as part of China. The last time i check the World Political map printed by National Geographic, Tibet and the rest of China was marked the same yellow colour. Obviously, im not colour blinded.

Chinese leader's teacher used to come from Tibet.Now from this policy only resentment from these cultural genocide victims. Tibet never invaded CHina when it had the power to.Mongoloa controlled China for over 200 years. They didn't have a country then but they recovered their home, didn't they? Same with Tibet.

There is no way to verify who is the father of each child. Every adult male member of the family could the uncle or father to each child in the family. In Tibet, if a family has more than 2 boys. The eldest will inherit the farm from the father. The second born will go to a monastery and become a monk (lama). The third boy and so on will stay with the eldest son and work the land for free until death. Only the eldest son may get a wife. All the others must share the wife with the eldest son. There is no orgy or anything like that.

Dalai Lama will die in exile. Current generation of Tibetans will die in exile. Their children will die in exile. Then one day their grandchildren will wonder and ponder:" Who are we? Tibetans? But I have never been or seen Tibet. Are we Chinese? NEVER!!! Then who are we? Should we say we are Canadians? Yeah......that should work! Maybe they will see us as Eskimos and won't discriminate us that much. Yeah....that should work! Then we can collect benefits forever!"

But this does not make a good story. Americans are dreaming about saving Tibetans now. They have been dreaming about themselves as heroes to save all the people in the world (as all the Hollywood movies).
