I think Fushigi Yuugi might just be my #1 favorite anime of all time, I have all 18 of the manga books as well :) it's hard to believe how immature (yet funny) Miaka is in the start, and then she slowly matures...in the end (spoiler) she and Taka even have a son named Hikari :)

In an OVA Fushigi Yugi Eikoden, she and Tomo (now called something else, but same guy)get married and she gets pregnant, but another girl goes into the book, and somehow takes the baby and now SHE is pregnant. Tomo goes back into the book and well...won't spoil it. Not as good as the original, of course, but good if you're missing Fushigi Yugi.

The main male character in Fusigi Yugi, and Miyaka's love, is Tomohome, shortened to Tomo a lot of the time. By the time he manages to reincarnate in Myaka's world and time, he's called Taka. In the OVA I refer to, I'm going by Netflix's Title of Fushigi Yugi Eikoden, which netflixs dates as 2002. Since the Internation Movie Database doesn't show an OVA wth that date or title, I assume it's the OVA 2 and 3 Reflections dated 1997. Many licenced versions have different titles and dates.Same plot.
