Other good thrash bands are Havok, Fueled By Fire, Bonded By Blood, Evile, Speed Kill Hate, Cavalera Conspiracy. Those are newer thrash bands. Cant forget about the classics like Slayer, Testament, Forbidden, and Exodus.

Google 'there is no such thing as punk metal', you'll see exactly what I mean. you guys are making a mistake very common with younger Metalheads, one that I admit I made a couple years back. But I'm telling you, Punk Metal isn't a genre, it's an umbrella term used to describe all Metal/Punk blended bands. It's like saying 'Milk' when you mean Ice Cream, or Yoghurt.

A label does matter, if you'll excuse my rudeness. It helps you figure out what that sound is you're getting, and helps you find more of it. For instance, I have literally thousands of Metal CDs and LPs laying around, and the only way I can determine what kind of sonic experience I'm in for is the little custom label I made showing the band name, the year and the genre. Labeling a genre is essential to streamlining your musical experience.
