Susan, thank you for showing the world that Catholics are Christian too. We sing this in Mass often, and love the Lord with all our hearts. Thank you for being a faithful servant.
There are 3 verses to this hymn. . . Why does she only just repeat the chorus??? It's the same on her CD. See Carrie Underwood's version, posted by rhony72for the whole hymn, and far more moving.
Singing "How great thou art" before the Pope?. Funny.
The pope who declared protestants as not real christians wouldn't have liked her singing a song written by a " non Christian or less christian" protestant.
You should ask this question your " Holiness' first . If this song is about God protestantism / evangelcalism is also definetely about that God. But Pope declared non-Catholics churches not truly christian. Do a Google search for "Pope against other protestants " etc. Read "Guardians' article first.
Yes it's your Holy Father's dilema.
PS. Nobody called Jesus 'father'. But Catholics call someone who they beleive represents Christ father!. Really funny.
OK - first of all, the Pope, along with everyone else, is entitled to their opinion. Secondly, the Guardian is hardly a fair source, they clearly have an axe to grind against His Holiness with calls from some within the paper to arrest him on his arrival last year.
@a312724 ".....the Pope, along with everyone else, is entitled to their opinion".
Good. You agreed that the Pope makes public comments which are not be taken seriously. Or, the head of the Catholic church can also lie publically. Note that either protestants are true christians or not. No middle ground.
"...the Guardian is hardly a fair source, they clearly have an axe to grind against His Holiness..."
I din't say 'read only Guardian'; I said read Guardian first.
Yes the Pope makes public comments, if you don't take them seriously then that's up to you, fair enough. It doesn't make him wrong just because YOU don't agree, does it? In your opinion he's wrong, in a lot of peoples' he's right.
I never said you said 'read only Guardian', I was only saying that the Guardian is not impartial as that was the only source you mentioned.
You must be very bitter if you spend your time trolling Youtube slating His Holiness ;-)
You said Pope is entitled for his opinion. Opinion doesn't count as far as christian spirituality or Biblical truth is concerned. There are no opinions, only absolute truths. History clearly shows that Popes never were on the side of absolutes but had 'opinions' which changes as time changes(Eg. Galileo).
I asked you to read Guardian first as its a purely secular paper. You wouldn't accuse it being pro-protestant for the news in it.

But it's not about me not accepting his comments or you accepting his comments.
Everything is planned before hand for Pope's public programes, including the selection of songs/hymns. Why did the Pope or his aides allow a protestant hymn to be sung while the Pope didn't consider protestants as true christians and everything of protestants as less christian?. Pope is a hypocrite?
What? Did she forget the words? I was listening to Carrie Underwood's version and I thought I'd check out Susan Boyle's who has so much purer and more beautiful a voice, but was disappointed in this.
What have they done to her? I thought she had a much stronger, more classical, soprano voice, and a simple Scottish lass quality to her when she appeared on "Britain's Got Talent"! Who is this ordinary, unspirited woman we see today? Ock, Suse, they stolen ye awee, an' nobbody kins to where. Silver is nice, but tha singin' ye had were Scotland's heart.
Why does she only sing the chorus?

This song isn't about the Pope, it's about God.
Any references for your quotes or claims about your accusations made against His Holiness?
