i really want to get 2.1 for the droid, and i havent put the 2.1 rom on it yet because i was waiting for the ota update, but then it never came... i hope whenever googe decides to send it out, it has the 2.1.1 update which enables multitouch....
sorry to crap on your parade zeester but you are wrong. Android 2.1 update enables multitouch as well as the tester version but in the pre release the problems were with the keyboard and with the sense UI for the Eris. We have to wait until March because that was the targeted OTA for 2.1 anyways. That is all I am allowed to say but you will get the OTA 2.1 soon. This yahoo just doesn't know what he is talking baout though because it was never going to be released Jan. 22nd btw.
@Ffej5647 sorry to take a shit on YOUR parade ffej, bt actually if you look at the nexus one, which haas 2.1 on it, it does not have multitouch. then at the beginning of February, it got an ota update called 2.1.1 enabling it in all of the native applications.
well its march 1 and im still waiting for the 2.1 update that was supposed to come out 39 days ago according to u.

actually the way the UI is designed to make it run faster. although the live wallpapers may have an effect on battery life.
