HI, Im getting a new PC for gameing. If I get the 64 bit, Im I going to have a problem playing any new games? Such as Modran warfare 2, Just cause 2, far Cry 2 etc. This is what Im buying..Intel i7 980x overclocked to 4.2 6Gb Kingston HyperX (2) Graphic card ATI Radeon HD 5970 PCI-E 16X 2GB GDDR5 Video Card. I want to watch TV on my pc and I want to use my integrated mic and my web cam. I need linux for a basic needs and I didn't found my best distro sooo..... I'm still using ubuntu but I can't use my microphone, because Ubuntu is not supporting my sound card at all.
i been with debian for over 5 years, Never dissapointed :D, for new ppl i guess ubuntu is the right choice

Lindows still exists, it's called Linspire!
My views:
* If you never want to upgrade (only update) use ArchLinux
* If you're experienced with computers in general and can handle DOS then Slackware and a lot of RTFMing is good
* If you need to talk with others who have already done things without fear of being called a n00b, Ubuntu is the way to go
* Want a system that's a little Mac OS X like, Ubuntu is also the way to go
* For a stable and long-term supported (7 years) system try CentOS
