An Imagination far Greater then you & I can comprehend...so he gives us this to suffice our need...but you want more...the more you listen the more you will grow.
@AboveDelusion Then, that night, as he was eating from a bucketful of take-out fried chicken, another inspiration struck. He described it in a 1996 interview with Guitar Player magazine: "I was eating it, and I put the mask on and then the bucket on my head. I went to the mirror. I just said, 'Buckethead. That's Buckethead right there.' It was just one of those things. After that, I wanted to be that thing all the time." well thats why he started wearing it.
@N208livi0N ... YES, I see your point, well perhaps you could just borrow one of Mr Buckets buckets & fill it up with some of your 5 star pink flesh chili & send that to me. I'm sure that would satisfy my craving & hunger pains - at least temporarily?
Buckethead opened a hole new interworld for me when i first heard this in 02 03,''with electronic music.dark ambeint space and psytrance..I lstill love his shit the most though..
@JackIntheBK Shout that from the rooftops man! I just saw/heard his last night in New Orleans for the first time. My daughter turned me on to him and I'm buying CDs, tee-shirts and whatever else I can. We can't let him slip through our fingers lik Hinderix. Buckethead is now the unsurpassed leader of rock guitar.
Gyus Gyus Gyus..... you forget 1 guitarist that could never learn anything from BH (except technique) and that shredder is BH's teacher ....... Paul Gilbert!
@misterantonis1231 a true buckethead fan would know that Paul Gilbert only taught him for a year though & that he learnt his main technique and ability from shawn lane and pebber brown
@thomasharman14 Maybe your right but none of those dudes play atmospheric music of expression, and paint the pictures of earth and space like buckethead..They all play that same style..
@dannyhood66 nah, pebber brown was bucketheads old music teacher. Hes mentioned in the secret recipe DVD. Maximum Bob calls him the master of everything modal. He was a major influence in bucketheads shredding and picking style. Hes got videos on youtube if you look pebberbrown up.
@thomasharman14 Thanks, Yeah maximum bob the stocky dude that sings chilly bitch? The dude that says ''rocks in my pants'' 'rocks in my pants! Buckethead had to get rid of him cause he sounded to much like the singer for cinderella..!aH

@olpmmone God! Thank you for saying that! Its like nobody realizes the fact that he's tottaly different than all those dudes..Nothing to do with image either'' his music alone is the big difference..The other guys you already know what to expect
@PhantomSocke I've seen batio way back in 87 san pedro, And he blew everybody away back then and i have been with malmsteen since Alcatraz and Ive heard all that before..Bucket head introduced me to a hole different playing that was necessary and refreshing and different..Nobody played like his peaceful atmosphere
style before, not the way he does with a dreamy 60s 70s feel that was totally unheard of since..Yngwie and batio could learn from him!..I mean my mother could listen to him and shes 79
@dannyhood66 I don't want to disagree you. What I mean is, all three are fantastic guitar player with a unique style. And everyone could show the other things, that another couldn't play. I only wrote this, because of the comment "Batio and Malmsteen and the rest of the "shredders" could learn alot from BH". And i don't think that this is unilateral. (Sorry for my bad english, i hope you can understand everything...)
Several persons that were with Brian in his earlies have told me the story. I don't think you've got a clue about Bucketheads story, and if you have, show it to me, with names. Untill then, I'm afraid I've got better info than you about him. This has nothing to do with his playing, I love his playing and I've got several original albums, but that doesn't mean that his story isn't true. Peace.
well i dont know what story your talking about but he grew up a normal life with a mom and a dad. when he was young his aunt gave him a guitar. by 15 he started to get serious with his playing. when he hit 25 he could shred 2x faster than Batio. now he's a god.
Im talking about his real guitar teacher and how did he get the bucket idea. I doubt wether he could shred 2x than Batio, since he can't even shred faster than him now.
who the fuck gave this a thumbs down especially when its 100% right. Batio knows lots of scales is good at sweeping and scales but when you just play random sweeps scales and arpeggios its hard to say that your good. Technically, yes hes good but he doesnt really make music
Thanks bud. That's my point exactly. Batio is a talented guitarist, sure. As a musician he's absolute shit though, his songs have no soul, no melody. They have no emotional investment. Buckethead is completely the opposite, and regardless of how comparatively good he is at his technicalities, he's still better than 99.9% of guitarists.
Steve Vai was studying music and transcribed one of Frank's pieces. Frank was so impressed that he invited Steve to perform with him, or something like that. I'm too tired to double-check to make sure I'm right, But that doesn't mean that Frank Zappa didn't influence him and teach him.
the main one was Pebber Brown, he taught him for more than 10 years, but Buckethead won't say that, he only mentions Paul gilbert because he's famous. Pebbers and BK's story is very sad and people don't know anything about it, instead they think Buckethead is God..shame.
well you wont find that story, I know because I spoke with a guy that went to college with BK and I spoke with Pebber Brown via youtube so..check out his channel he's got awesome material that you won't find elsewhere I can asure you that.
i love the last minute or 2 of this. BH is awesome, duno if its just me but after listening to BH for a few months now, No other guitarists interest me at all, not even the likes of satriani and Vai. They dont come close to this guy in my opinion.
If this song was in a Mustang commercial, thered be like a billion of them sold that day.

the main one was Pebber Brown, he taught him for more than 10 years, but Buckethead won't say that, he only mentions Paul gilbert because he's famous. Pebbers and BK's story is very sad and people don't know anything about it, instead they think Buckethead is God..shame.

i love the last minute or 2 of this. BH is awesome, duno if its just me but after listening to BH for a few months now, No other guitarists interest me at all, not even the likes of satriani and Vai. They dont come close to this guy in my opinion.
