In-state or out-of-state tuition. At this point, does it matter? College is getting so expensive that it's just a big rip-off. Calif. is facing a $50 billion deficit over the next 18 months and tuition at public univerities is going to EXPLODE.

When I took a couple classes in a California community college a couple years ago, I had to pay non-resident tuition cuz I'd been back in Cali less than a year. Then I noticed the application stated I could pay resident tuition if I'd graduated from a California high school. Well, I was told that didn't pertain to me, but to non-citizens. So, my tax dollars paid for an illegal to go to a U.S. high school so they could get reduced tuition while I pay full boat. Great system.

Illegal people DO NOT get money to go to school. They can also pay their way to college or get scholarships because of their grades, but that would be too much to ask. Helping a person that grew up here because their parents brought them here, an honor student, it would be too much to ask for people that are unjust and racist.

they dont pay in-state. They pay out-of-state tuition bc they're not an US citizen/national. Also, they can pay taxes now w/a number given to them by the IRS called ITN. Therefore theyre starting to file taxes now. I agree they all should be deported but the US doesnt do it bc deporting em all w/in a few weeks would paralyze labor & economics. INS has only raided a few thousand to shut americans up & bc our gov knows illegals do contribute, specially when taxes are taken out of their paychecks

ILLEGALS IN COLLEGE PAY IN-STATE TUITION in many states like California where I live. Deporting the illegals will not paralyze labor or economics. That is bullshit manufactured by supporters of illegals and if you believe it you probably did not go to college. If a business cannot survive without operating legally (without illegals) it should not be in business in this country. Hiring slave labor equals higher profits. Hiring legal workers equals much lower profits.

Everyone who has gone to college or is running a business knows about backdoor deals. It happens commonly w/big corporations (McDonald's, Service Master etc). All small business have gotten a letter saying they should check for legal status (we have gotten one) & if there's anything suspicious to report it to the SSA. BUT if you read carefully between the lines businesses are not made to comply. Sad! So tell me again how come most of McDonald's illegal immigrants are still working there again?

illegals are still working at McDonalds because McDonalds wants to pay the absolute minimum wages. McDonalds will happily tell you it is not their job to enforce immigration laws and that all of their employees submitted the necessary information to legally obtain employment. The problem is the "necessary information" is either someone else's (identity theft) or fake (easily bought).

There's an easy way to tell. It all lies on the texture of the SS card & parallel lines of the resident card that can only be visible at a certain angle. INS & the SSA are starting to implement migratory status software for companies.This combats identity theft & falsified papers. Also after employers file yearly employee income, illegal employees get a letter from the SSA stating their SS # cud not be verified & need to contact SSA. SSA has records of this & what do they do? 12 M still r here
