  • cool a shuffle!!!

  • This man is of another level.as are the men that back him up..unreal.God to see this kind of stuff.live..

  • This and "Use Me" are my fav. songs from him.

Such a MASTER at his craft, damnnnnn!!!!!!

  • Beautifull!

  • I express my soul in a variety of ways, but it would take 1,000 years of spiritual aging before I could express how I feel vocally and with such attentiveness as Bill Withers.

  • Yeah, for the people full of hate and silly comments... Bill Withers would say "We've gotta learn to make allowances for peoples ignorance"

  • 5 Stars Short Video

  • I LOVE YOU BILL WITHERS

  • From where does it come from? Is there a DVD?

  • @LarsenRCF I believe it's on Live at Carnegie Hall

  • @MrMusicevolution Sure? I have the CD of that live, but there's a different version of the song. This seems to be a slower one (wonderful version, though).

  • ..... You might as well be a lonely walker In a lonely town, on a lonely street.

  • fucking beautiful..x

  • Great! Bill Whiters is THE man!!!

  • Bill did a song called "The Lors Prayer" please see if u can find it, and post please . Never hear it done that agaibn, classic Please post it

  • You see that man's face? He FEELS it.

  • where can i get the tracks or wich recording is this?

  • @Vrieze1 -This great track is from Mr. Withers classic 2nd album "Still Bill"(1972) & he also does a smokin' version on his "Live At Carnegie Hall" album (1973), which is to me one of the best-if not the best-live albums ever. I think I'm going to play on my make-shift sound system, both definitive versions of this fine track & feel those simple, direct-to-the point lyrics of this American Treasure!

  • @newktrane Oke, thank you so much! Live At Carnegie Hall is indeed of of the best - at least it is among my favourites! But i like this version of lonely town lonely street more than the one on Carnegie hall. Anyway thanks for uploading this great song and this great artist.

  • Grande musica! Grazie Bill

  • his voice is just so effortless

  • Bill Withers is a lot like Ray Charles and Otis Redding in that he is loved and respected by folks who are in to all different musical genres. He transcends labels placed on our artists.

  • One of the best! Thank you Bill for all that you gave!

  • You can listen to Bill Withers and just find so much appreciation in simple music, simple soul, and simple truth. he indeed is priceless! One of my FAVS!!! <3

  • I usually don't mention the dislikes in my comments, but ZERO fuckin' dislikes baby!

  • This is magic in a box. The kind of box that never goes empty.

  • Great music. Gotta love Bill!

  • yes i'm avin it, it's ACE

  • bill sure is one groovin dude

  • how do you turn a duck into a soul singer ? put it in the mocrowave and wait until its bill withers !!!!

  • Man this joint is grooving REAL hard

  • just lovely

  • wow, this is awesome - never seen it before..talk about soul, Bill's got more than most

  • I am so glad i discovered Bill Withers. This is such a soulful song!!!

  • For as long as I can remember Otis Redding has been what I considered the ultimate soul music voice. The older I get, the closer Bill Withers gets to the front of the list. This is just phenomenal.

  • @whiteflash1323 i completely agree, i have listened to them all, Sam Cooke, Otis, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Womack, and for some reason i keep coming back to Bill Withers, perfect blend of soul/blues/funk and folk, this man wasn't ahead of his time, he is instead TIMELESS

  • Pure untethered emotion. It goes straight through to your soul.

  • Thank YouTUBE Facebook might be for some but with stuff like this I got a home right here.

  • This is one of my favorite songs ever. Just a hell of a song.

  • Great!...:-)

  • Sad music. Really? Hmmm. Bill's music is usually uplifting based of life experience and the lessons learned. "The Willow Man"'s power is that he shares these lessons and pearls in a loving way and with simplicity, humility, yet with grace and dignity. But don't be put-off by this: William Harrison Withers is diverse enough to get-down deep and funky! Play "Naked and Warm", "Ruby Lee" etc. Once again, Bill's love of family and his fellow man has given him the strength and perseverance to survive.

  • @Atomank68 tremendous remark! :)

  • @mrm4xim4m. Thank you very much from the both of us. Sorry to respond so late as "The Willow Man"'s birthday passed this Juluy the 4th! Nonetheless, if you are inclined to celebrate this great man's works (along with Curtis Mayfield, whose absence pains us all to this day,) then kindly go to: "Stillbillthemovie.comto get all the good skinny.

  • music is meant to be live, it leaves room for instrumental improvisation and raw emotion

  • WHAT A POST !!!!!!!!! thanks

  • IMPRESSIVE

  • Breaks speakers on vinyl!

  • damn this is so good!

  • fantastica

  • quality

  • Hard to believe that our beloved Bill was constrained to make only one live concert album. Sad and outrageous!

  • Considering that his music sounds best live I can only agree.

  • those lyrics are on fire.

  • yeah Bill lay it on me
