I like my denman brush but as a 4b I have learned some things about detangling my hair...1. As long as it's not matted it's fine...4b hair is always going to be tangled to a degree...no point in constantly detangling. 2. Finger detangling is good enough most of the time, I do this between brushing...3. I have been natural since 1998 and all combs and brushes pull my hair out...the denman, however, does the least damange...hope this helps! Thanks for asking and subscribing...
