i guess that your htt multiplier is still at auto. if its @ x5 set it to x4 and try it again. but remember u have to go to the bios to set the HTT. the htt should be about 800-1000 (u can check it via CPUz). HTT = FSB * HTT multi
you can pull clocks as far as you want but IS IT STABLE???? and dont use freaken noob tools go to the BIOS like a MAN!!! and i think at those speeds you need to up the voltages...
First of always try to overclock from the BIOS. It is much easier. Second, if you are raising the front side bus, you are also raising your ram memories speed. try decreasing it in the bios. Third, lower the HT link. Fourth, raise your cpu voltage. Like this i got my AMD 64X2 5000+ from 2.6Ghz to 3.3Ghz... Good luck
Overclocking should be done step by step. You try to do that immediately. I overclocked my AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 GHz instantly and then had to reinstall everything. Try overclocking it in BIOS section. It is time consuming but worth of it.
i have overclock my E8200 from 2.66 Ghz to 4.00 Ghz its works but i need more fans i have now 5 and all on 100% with Speedfan.exe app and its work fine
Have you tried to up the vcore and dropping your multi and raising your fsb? That can help sometimes to. Also try loosening your memory timings. If your really pushing your cpu, your memory has to be able to keep up with the FSB which directly corrolates with the speed of the CPU.
u need to increase cpu voltage to overclock further the cpu isnt getting hot cos u are ajusting the frequency the heat heat comes from increasing cpu voltage which u have to do when overclocking becasue increasing the frequency requires more power
it is crashing because your CPU voltage is too low when u increase frequency u need to increase CPU voltage to compensate the cpu doesnt get hot from increasing frequency it gets hot when u increase voltage
yo thats not overcloaking it dont overcloak it just fuck up ur cpu :S (virus included in boosters dont trust those mofo boosters fake software + spyware included in some of them)
thas shit happen to me went i put 1 more gb of ram but i have amd X2 3800+ then went i put 1 GB more i overclock to 2.2 Ghz and crack i take the Gb off and now go up to 2.4GHz idk why i cant put another GB anyone know how to fix that?????????
men, using that program you will not get a stable overclock.. use your bios.. and all depends of what mobo, ram and coling you have, i have amd 6000 windsor OC at 3.425ghz stable (2 hours in prime 95) and my temp reach50C1 max (i´m on water)
i got an amd 6000+ and i can get up to 3.5ghz then i crash but my temp gets up to 45 degress tho, the best what to get it running fast then normal is to start off lowering your multi and raising your bus to the standard speed, then hit up the multi by 1 so its overclock by a lil bit, then start going up in like 5mhz each time on the bus. i try to occ my ram more i had my bus @ 360mhz 9multi which i had my ram speed through the roof
just cause the temps arnt high doesnt mewan the overclock is stable. theres more than just temp to go by. overclock bit at a time and test with something which uses ltos of cpu.
I had this problem to.. but then i noticed that my cpu and ram was linked (FSB).. i whent in to the bios and changed the settings so the RAM stayed the same.

im talking about how much better intel I7 with linux is compared to the AMD. better as in how efficient it is.. read the benchmark tests. I then go into more detail with the cooling systems and how the better cooling systems allows the processors to run at a higher speed. ALSO i believe that the I7 has 8 processors.. THANK YOU !!
its not that much faster, you have watched a couple of videos on youtube and now you think its so much faster. well. its not.
it is very obvious that you have done absolutley, NO research, it is quad core. yeah keep beliveving because its gotten you no where. quad means 4 not 8. YOUR WELCOME.

read what i said. we are calling this off, that was supposed to be the last comment, and that wasnt an insult. it was collaborated words to make a fragment of a sentence. and that isn't how you spell responSe.
The i7 is technically a quad-core, but it has Hyperthreading, which makes the system think it has 4 additional cores in order to process more efficiently. So its 4 physical cores, 4 logical.
Think of partitioning a HDD. You split a 500 gig hdd into two 250 gig partitions and the system shows two separate hdd's. Partitioning doesn't magically add an extra HDD in your case now does it? Same with an i7.
ya I don't think your going to squeeze much out of it. 6400+ is the fastest those guys could get that core to go. I've got a 6000+ 65nm Brisbane and It doesn't want to overclock at all not even a extra 100 hertz.
Should check out the New Black edition AMD cpus. there cheap (under 90$ for a 7750+) and have unlocked multipliers so no need to really mess with the front side bus or voltages just get a good mainboard.
you check and see if your DACS and voltage regulators are to hot on your board?
This might be little late since this video is old but using the AINos set the external frequency to 220 and then set cpu voltage to 1.5 and it should be stable at 3520 mhz. I ran 3dmark06 and Vantage at these settings and all was stable. It used to crash on me also at 3520 until upping the volts.
If I where you i would increase the processor voltage, to start with the lowest first then start the computer and contiue until it is not crashin anymore. Use a benchmark program to see if it stable and if it crashes increase the peocessor voltage.
It may be down t voltages or another factor causing the crashes.
First thing I would do is drop your memory speed to a slower speed. As you up the FSB/HT you increase memory operational frequency so can easily hit a bottleneck there.
Try slowly upping the Vcore voltage and see if that gives stability and also check your Northbridge and memory have enough volts going in. Getting a good stable OC is a slow job.
Change 1 thing at a time and do it in small increments. Always watch the temps.
This architecture is at it's limits already with a stock 3.2 clock. A 5000+ can easily reach 3.2. This is simply the limits of the hardware. Don't feel bad, I can get 3.5 out of my 6000+ but nothing stable above 3.45. Gaming 3.370.
Does AI booster allow you to up your vcore? and if so have you done that yet? You can run 1.4v-1.5v safely on that CPU. You should also, if you can with AI booster, drop your HT multiplier and ram speeds significantly, at least until you have a respectable CPU overclock then you can raise them back up slowly.
I don't know why everyones telling you to get a phenom, doesn't that defeat the purpose of overclocking?
so your 5200 is 65nm right? my 6400+be is 90nm so its not that good for overclocking i was just fucking around its fast enough i dont even need to overclock it
I run mine 6400+ stable on 3,408ghz 24/7, 1,47 volts(NEEDED)and 2,1v on my 4gb corsair 8500 bla bla 1066mhz. mine also crash on 3,5ghz + even with 1,5volts. Maybe have to give it even more voltage.
I know a swedish guy that runs his 6400+ on 3,8xx ghz 24/7, he got a good one. i can post link if u want later.
Honestly? Are you seriously telling this guy to get an intel?
Do you know how intel rates their procs? They try it at (say 3 ghz) then if that doesn't work they try 2.9 ghz and so on until it works. And THAT IS THE RATING THEY PUT ON THE LABEL. AMD, on the otherhand is modest and leaves plenty of room for overclocking (if you know what you're doing). I'm not flaming anyone, just please, be less biased and more factual.
amd athlon x2 series is not good for overclocking....if u want an amd that is good in overclocking try to buy the phenom series maybe x3 or x4 is good for oc...specially the black edition of it...coz amd B.E is built for oc and @ low temp...
you need to OC in the bios or youll run into this problem every time and might damage your cpu in the bios try raising the voltage to 1.5
lower the ddr mem to 667 0r 400 un do the pci sync to 33.3 use a cpu multiplyer of 15x start from 3.3ghz and go up slowly and i mean no more than a value of 1 at a time youll have to do alot of rebooting to get it right oh and check your requred memorey voltage value should be 1.8v -2.0v depending on your specs
thtas becouse i not overklock its not my PC i sitting on im sitting on the "fameily PC. i will buy a new PC aPackard Bell IMEDIA8846 with 4GBRam Nivida geforce 9500GS (512MB) and a amd Phenom prosessor bu i dont now with a good becouse its gamerPc so i will buy it i dont neet hig and only at the games like gta samp +enb series or test driver unlimited and gTA IV (when its comming out for PC) rum good so i will be habby when i have this PC
try using a O.C profile or just go to the bios and overclock the cpu from there, btw keep ur bios updated to the latest that may help and its better for stability in my experience to overclock the ram as well.
im pretty shure that u can get it much higher
just make shure your case has good cooling and ur mobo temps arent to high coz that will just cuaz ur pc to hang even if u got it any higher
the best way to get it overclocked to its maximum is through the bios. Good luck
amped up the cpu voltage and fsb speeds increase that as well and your ram might need adjustments with the timings & mhz in order to support that speed..otherwise you'll get the blue screen or post..if your on water remove cpu and repaste thermal ...on air clean heatsink good luck
I would say u should just crank up the voltage and u would be just fine, but u should remember that more voltage=more heat so it's not going to run as cool
my athlon ii x2 240 only overclocks until 3.43 ghz.
older amd chips seems to limit until 3.4ghz max

those Athlon x2 6000+ series are notoriously hard to overclock. There is no help. those chips are inherently unstable when overclocked.
I have a 6000+. It crashes at 3.3ghz.. It can run stable at 3.2
The 6400+ is just a ramped up versoion of the 6000+ You will not get much more than 3.2 out of it.

If I where you i would increase the processor voltage, to start with the lowest first then start the computer and contiue until it is not crashin anymore. Use a benchmark program to see if it stable and if it crashes increase the peocessor voltage.

amd and intel no one is better is just that intel got the lead this year
Alienware51X 3 years ago
Dont fuck with the Voltages ;)
if you dont know what youre doing!
Amd athlon 64 x2 multiplyer lock!
so you cannot change it down from 12.1x or whatever you got there
and you can oc your to over 800/930
when you have reached those limits then its crashes!
but if you change the voltages,Cpu ratio,Dram Frequensy. You can go a friggin' hihgher maybe over 3.7Ghz! keep it up mate!

yo bitch get your fucking ass on the xbox
mcinntra0aol 3 years ago
It may be down t voltages or another factor causing the crashes.
First thing I would do is drop your memory speed to a slower speed. As you up the FSB/HT you increase memory operational frequency so can easily hit a bottleneck there.
Try slowly upping the Vcore voltage and see if that gives stability and also check your Northbridge and memory have enough volts going in. Getting a good stable OC is a slow job.
Change 1 thing at a time and do it in small increments. Always watch the temps.

yes u need help, and by help i mean more than just with the overclocking...
killakali408650 3 years ago 2
This architecture is at it's limits already with a stock 3.2 clock. A 5000+ can easily reach 3.2. This is simply the limits of the hardware. Don't feel bad, I can get 3.5 out of my 6000+ but nothing stable above 3.45. Gaming 3.370.

I overclock my amd athlon 6400 on 3.6ghz and i can crysis on ver high ;)
Dragst3er 3 years ago
This is a fucking awesome processor why would you have to overclock it? ^^
Sh4d0wRuNN3r 3 years ago
because i can bitch
asusm2ne 3 years ago
Okay bitch.
Sh4d0wRuNN3r 3 years ago
Does AI booster allow you to up your vcore? and if so have you done that yet? You can run 1.4v-1.5v safely on that CPU. You should also, if you can with AI booster, drop your HT multiplier and ram speeds significantly, at least until you have a respectable CPU overclock then you can raise them back up slowly.
I don't know why everyones telling you to get a phenom, doesn't that defeat the purpose of overclocking?
Good luck and keep us updated
Pvt213 3 years ago
Wow, I don't think people understand that you aren't able to overclock in your BIOS lol.
Pvt213 3 years ago
well your not doing it in BIOS, thats the first problem.
Programs cannot get everything correct.
Your RAM could be the bottleneck even.
Go to BIOS and overclock.
mehrows 3 years ago
i have a 2x 5200 and i can get to 3.7 :/
adamski895RS 3 years ago
so your 5200 is 65nm right? my 6400+be is 90nm so its not that good for overclocking i was just fucking around its fast enough i dont even need to overclock it
asusm2ne 3 years ago
the 5200 is based on the 90nm. also i might as well let you know i was able to get my 6400 black to 3.744 today with air cooling alone.
ryanoghlan 3 years ago
i say probly most likely get more power, voltage or wattage, try upping the voltage and if that dont work get a more powerful power supply
immadodgeguy 3 years ago
I run mine 6400+ stable on 3,408ghz 24/7, 1,47 volts(NEEDED)and 2,1v on my 4gb corsair 8500 bla bla 1066mhz. mine also crash on 3,5ghz + even with 1,5volts. Maybe have to give it even more voltage.
I know a swedish guy that runs his 6400+ on 3,8xx ghz 24/7, he got a good one. i can post link if u want later.
saabolatic 3 years ago
AMD 6000+ and 6400+ dont go past 3.4 stable.
inoxicrom 3 years ago
ha you are wrong. my 6400 along with my friends got to 3.5 stabil. but you might be talking about the regular, i have black ed.
ryanoghlan 3 years ago
yes i am talking about the regular.. but there are also some chips that will get to 3.5-3.6 but with extreme volts.
inoxicrom 3 years ago
The best thing to doo its to put a liquid cooling system in your PC and then overclock, it is much safer and you get better results !!!
ZXRaziel 3 years ago
just so you know a 5000 can go to 3.4 with only adjusting the multiplier and with out over volting
ryanoghlan 3 years ago
get quad core lol intel never have to crash again.
GeorgeT50 3 years ago
I'm not flaming anyone, just please, be less biased and more factual.
dillxn 3 years ago
amd athlon x2 series is not good for overclocking....if u want an amd that is good in overclocking try to buy the phenom series maybe x3 or x4 is good for oc...specially the black edition of it...coz amd B.E is built for oc and @ low temp...
japzmaano 3 years ago
athlon x2 BE is super OC-able to 3.2 and thats it...

what for a CPUcooler u have?
pinkpixel 3 years ago
thats on stock
asusm2ne 3 years ago
actully at 3472.00mhz its 85% stable
asusm2ne 3 years ago
you need to OC in the bios or youll run into this problem every time and might damage your cpu in the bios try raising the voltage to 1.5
lower the ddr mem to 667 0r 400 un do the pci sync to 33.3 use a cpu multiplyer of 15x start from 3.3ghz and go up slowly and i mean no more than a value of 1 at a time youll have to do alot of rebooting to get it right oh and check your requred memorey voltage value should be 1.8v -2.0v depending on your specs

lvlman92 3 years ago
try using a O.C profile or just go to the bios and overclock the cpu from there, btw keep ur bios updated to the latest that may help and its better for stability in my experience to overclock the ram as well.
im pretty shure that u can get it much higher
just make shure your case has good cooling and ur mobo temps arent to high coz that will just cuaz ur pc to hang even if u got it any higher
the best way to get it overclocked to its maximum is through the bios. Good luck
ES5SEVEN 3 years ago
you cant oc from windows...you have to do it from bios!

M2N-E is fucking crap unable to exceed 223 or 225 FSB.
icedkiller686 3 years ago
amped up the cpu voltage and fsb speeds increase that as well and your ram might need adjustments with the timings & mhz in order to support that speed..otherwise you'll get the blue screen or post..if your on water remove cpu and repaste thermal ...on air clean heatsink good luck
endlezz 3 years ago
get rivaturner
airsofter18889 3 years ago
Do research on your problem
I would say u should just crank up the voltage and u would be just fine, but u should remember that more voltage=more heat so it's not going to run as cool
