  • this is really cheerful i like this a lot, particularly the opening tune

  • Just wondering about this one. Did Sesame Street ever tackle 9/11? I understand that this is a bit too difficult for children to have understood at the time.

  • @cmt39 They did. In 2002, they did an episode where Hooper's Store caught fire, and it pretty much scared Elmo into not wanting to go back in Hooper's ever again, but a concerned NYC firefighter gave Elmo a tour of the firehouse, and explained about fire safety to him and such. Likewise, anytime a big hurricane (like Katrina) hits the US, they rerun a 5-part episode from 2001 where Big Bird's nest is destroyed by a hurricane.

  • that stuff is legend, not like the stuff kids are into these days :/

  • Soring is here in Colorado right now. It looks more like winter though. But it really is spring.

  • is it just me or does sesame street look ghetto

  • It's intentional. They made it looks like an inner city street to appeal to people who didn't have much money.

  • I totally agree about killing off Elmo!! Nothing beats the classics. And you cannot claim a clip with Elmo is a "classic".

  • Does anyone even have 2513?

  • this episode is adorable. i love old school sesame street. for christmas, i got old school sesame street on dvd. i love it and i watch it everyday. seriously!

  • Don't forget Elmo.

  • I'd like to!

  • dont forget forgetfull jones

  • zxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I want to be a kid again.

  • so do i i still remember the opening when the girl in the pink coat was sliding on those two poles aaahhh to be young again

  • Do you recall the early 1970's shows with "Jay" as the basketball player in the background. He would be playing or sitting on the porch or stoop. Just wondering if you know a video he might be on. I lived across the street from him back in the 70's...thank you.....

  • Happy Spring Everyone! :)

  • Who could forget Forgetful Jones?

  • this is the opening i remember

  • nml

  • this is the opening i remember the most as a kid

  • This is actually originally from the 1986-1987 season, but reran in 1988 or 1989, you can tell because of the colored barrells behind Big Bird's walls if you look closely enough. And David and Maria were rocking back and forth together. Kind of funny how they reran it after Maria and Luis were married. Almost seems like infefelity on Sesame Street for those who weren't aware it was a rerun. lol

  • And Maria is NOT preagnet with Gabi.

  • This must have not aired beyond the spring of 1989, given that David departed at that time; little did we it was to be for good, as this was followed by Northern Calloway's death the next year.

  • how to get to sesame street?

  • You mean it was a recycled street scene placed in a new episode, right? As opposed to an actual episode rerun. (Which I'm assuming was never done beyond the cycle of a 6-month season followed by the 6-month repeat period)

  • BAHHAAHAhAAA

  • Kids can be on youtube when ever they want

  • ???

  • Is this either 1988 or 1989?

  • Let's see...by my calculation, if this is #2513, that would make it December '88 or January '89.

  • get off of you tube little kids!

  • What else was from that episode? Can someone post it on muppet wiki?

  • Wow, you must have one heck of a tape collection to post these...keep 'em coming!
