This song was a hit in five different versions, all great in my opinion - Lou Johnson (1964), Sandie Shaw (1965, the one playing here), Dionne Warwick (1968), R.B. Greaves (1970), and Naked Eyes (1983). Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
Yes, my favorite is the one by R.B. Greaves, which was the follow-up to his best-known song, "Take a Letter Maria". No one has posted it here on YouTube yet. My second favorite is the one by Sandie Shaw. I like the other three, too, though. It is just such a great song. A store chain I worked for in 2001 (but has since closed) used it in its ads.
I still have never found it on YouTube. I'm wiser now and think that it's possible that WMG or someone else has had it taken down whenever it's been posted. This is what has happened to the Dionne Warwick version. The Naked Eyes and Sandie Shaw versions are plentiful here, and there are about two videos for the one by Lou Johnson. The Greaves version was actually a higher-charting record in the U.S. than the Shaw, Johnson, and Warwick versions.

I suppose it's the sign of a good song if it is covered by so many!! Do you have a fav version??
