watching her in this live clip, i can't believe that she is no longer with us. this performance took place shortly before the first wave of rumors about her poor health began circulating in late 92/ early 93. one could tell she was not in top form here, tired, out of breath and singing off key. this is right around the time before her year-long hiatus before returning to the stage in 94 at her comeback show in anaheim,

after that show which was to a sold-out audience, many of fans had noticed she was rather "off" during her entire performance. the early traces of her failing health were becoming noticeable, but nothing was confirmed. unfortunately by 96, when she was robbed from her eyesight finally, everybody took notice. whatever her illness was, i really think her premature death was mainly caused by her overworking and exhaustion which in the end gave in to her disease. R.I.P. Ngoc Lan!
