And such unconventional use for a *8lush* well, you know. W8ter fetching. That's just k8nky. Why would you 8ver want to touch water that had been in a *eeeeeeeeww* XXXXP
This is some of the n8stiest rib8ldry I've ever seen!!!!!!!!
My kids were listening to a kids' CD in the car a few days ago and it had this song (not Sesame Street version). I immediately remembered this skit. I think I was about 6 or 7 when this aired on TV. This is a classic! Liza looks like she's about ready to slap Dear Henry silly! This is even funnier now than it was 30 years ago. Wish my kids could have this Sesame Street. The one from today isn't near as funny!
LOL this is one of the best clips ever! Too bad today's kids don't get to watch anything with any thought put into it! Everything is so dumbed down for the kids these days!
i'll never forget this one. one of my alltime favorites. he goes around in one entire circle and ends up with what he started.............A HOLE IN THE BUCKET!!! LOL
I think I got my attitude from watching Sesame Street... I act like Liza...maybe Sesame Street messed me up, I think there are too many Henries out there
I know this is a silly kid's song, but how can you fix a bucket with a stick? How come Henry can't just buy a new bucket? And Henry isn't very bright is he? However, this song is histarical! I love how Liza becomes mor and mor frustrated with Henry.
does anyone knows what she says, before the line.. with what shall I carry the water? ( she says I'm going to something... but I can't catch the rest )
you guys have go it all wrong yes henry is really stupid maybe even retarded but what we are forgettign is that liza has short term memory loss she was told there was a hole in the bucket then forgot with in a 2 minute period
Liza kind of remind me of my grandma from my dad's side of the family, who died 5 years ago. Grandpa died over 50 years ago when my dad was a junior in high school.
It just shows you that men can't survive without women, lol. This was my favorite episode of Sesame Street. Henry was a dumb ass, "hmmmm what, hmmmm what hmmmm?" This mutha fucka actually asked, "With what should I wet it?"
Instead of using the hatchet to cut the stick, Henry could have used his foot to hold the stick on the ground and then broke a right size just so he can fix the bucket. Also at 4:09, if Henry was wondering what he can carry the water (instead of the bucket because of the hole) he could have gotten a cup from the kitchen and then filled it with water to wet the stone or he could have brought out a hose to wet the stone.
@afriendofbean OMG, do you really think this retard is smart enough to do all that?! For Christ's sake, he has to ask Liza how to cut a stick back in the day when they cut trees to stay warm! lol :)
@Jackie371 I was just giving my opinion. A lot of people have given their opinion on YouTube skits, especially Sesame Street YouTube skits whether the skit is a cartoon, a skit with muppets, for comedy, or any other reason. People have always given their opinion on certain scenes or spots on what they saw or heard and how they felt.
One of the funniest skits on the show! I grew up when Seseame Street was funny. Too bad they had to go too educational and took all the funny out of the show!!
I remember seeing this when it originally aired. Some Sesame Street segments are unforgettable no matter how many years have gone by. This is one of them. Thank you for posting, Egohaslanded
Oh my god. Thank you so much for posting this. It has been at least 30 years since I have seen it. Absolutelty classic! "Well any fool would've known that" haha!
This is funny!!!! I would've busted his head down to the white meat if i was that old lady! Now I know why men act the way they do and why we women are feed up with the stupid question men ask.
Holy COW! This is one of the funniest skits of all! You could just TELL she was getting major league angry at him! She was clearly thinking, "What was I thinking when I married this rube?!" The angrier she got was what made this really funny. If someone had told her about Women's Lib, she would have thrown him out of the house and jumped aboard the bandwagon!
Started humming this at work and ended up going back and forth with a co-worker acting this out. Funny part was, it had been so long that I had actually FORGOTTEN how it ended (and I was playing Liza - getting more and more irritated as the song progressed). When we got there, it was therefore genuinely surprising... Needless to say,.I fell out laughing
OMG I love this, I love it when she says"say it say it say it "!!!
My only regret is that it cuts off to early to hear when she rocks of into the distance muttering "I should've married up with luke" wasn't that how it ended ??
@ dslxic- Actually, 'King' Obama wants to prevent this generation of children from growing up to have abominable spelling and grammar skills. Thank you for volunteering to be the poster child for his cause.
LOL, this is too funny!! I love how at one point she's so frustrated that she scoots the rocking chair toward him and back again so fast... Another one that's great to see again after a lot of years. Thank you!!
