No, trust me. I recognize Noah and his type. He practically brags about being "abused". He takes the smallest of incidents and turns it into something big. REAL abuse leaves the child withdrawn. REAL abuse makes them AFRAID to speak out.

@balanblonde2 Noah called CPS and wanted to leave, right? Fixing this is simple. Picture Noah being your own son. When he tries to slap you again, quickly grab him and embrace him tight. Let him swing away, you'll be fine. Then look directly into his eyes and say, "Listen to me right now, young man. I am your mother. I brought you into this world and I will always love you, no matter what you do to me or anyone else. But if you decide to leave, you'll never know a parent's love for you again."

@redclark831 Sorry, but it sounds just like the solution they gave to Karen Carpenter's parents when she was dying from anorexia. "Tell her that you love her". At 32 she was dead. Love is not enough - no matter what they say in Church (in case you're wondering, I'm religious). There is a level of respect in children that is natural. Noah looks unnatural to me. I think there is a lot of depression there and maybe some medication would help. Fluoxetine, for example.

@balanblonde2 Send him to a place where his life will be miserable. Family member that owns a farm and isn't going to take no BS, week trial of boot camp/juvi if you have a friend in the military or low enforcement, etc. Plenty of options and I really doubt that it wouldn't give them a nice wake up call.

Holy god US has many commercial breaks! When we have a Dr. Phil episode shown on TV we get 2 commercials per episode and every episode is like 30 minutes. I feel sorry for Noah's mother, she goes through a lot and I do feel really sorry for her! I hope she'll get better soon!
