i doubt it completely especially since if you listen to viv women when that women says " just o for it," thats Pia, steve's wife, so that means that he was married to her since 86.
@DonMichele1980 I dont know...hussmanntim2 said Vai used to be a sex addict. I don't think Vai was ever addicted to anything besides playing a guitar and make awesome music.
@TheGiraf2 Yeah I think he isn't a great singer as well...but he stays in tune though. But I don't mind Billy being not a good vocalist...He is a bad-ass bassplayer and a musician. Vai can sing pretty well though...but Vai is just...well some sort of God?
I love how Billy busts out some crazy bass solos WITH HIS FINGERS. That's not really an easy thing to do well as far as I know. I just pick things on a 6 string! Could anyone tell me what the difference is between the two necks on Billy's bass? I'm not sure if it's a tuning/ pitch change or if it's just easier for him to solo with the top neck because it's higher up!
@D0bb024 There's a difference in both tuning and tone.
The tone become more trebly and overdriven on his upper neck as well. Just listen to the difference between when he plays during Steve's solo, then switches to the higher neck.
Yeah I see what you mean! I must say, his bass is quite a handy little gadget! It's so versatile and useful and it's good that he's actually using a double neck bass for good reasons!

Dude they definitely have done drugs. Look at Steve Vai's face, he has definitely experimented with cocaine more than once. You don't play this type of music with out expanding your mind a little bit haha.
The true masters of the instruments never rely on drugs for creativity or talent -- just bullshitters that rely on gimmicks to fall back for there sloppy technique and playing and don't know the true nature of the instrument.
tell that to jimi hendrix, all the members of aerosmith, the beatles, any 60's band or basically any jazz band from the 50's and before...heroin was HUGE in the jazz world.
@sirbyron007 - in the commentary for the DVD Billy says they were trying to find what in his rig made this annoying "wayo wayo wayo" sound... turned out it was the light on his bass!
what a great song,,, and what great guitar work, it is easy to see why these men are considered masters as their respective instruments.. Thanks for the post!!!!
