What about "to lower the speaker, hold the post with one hand while loosening the knob with the other so the entire speaker doesn't fall on your fingers.
he makes it sound like powered speaker are the ONLY speakers. Hmmm, guess he forgot about passive speakers. Not a expert anymore (not that he ever was)
hey dude thnx for the tutorial.. but if may i ask how much were those speakers.. i still dnt have my own but can you tell me the cost?&on what store? and are their any other better speakers like for the dance floor etc, with good quality sound or would those do? please and thank you.
Errr! is this guy serious or is he taking the piss? He cant be so serious over something a backwoods moron could figure out without breaking into a sweat!
dont see why it needs to be at 6ft makes no sence and wouldnt advise taping cable to the wall people tend to not like when there is paint ripped of the wall
making it 6ft will make it so that people dont get blasted in the ear if they walk past it, and so the sound can surround the room better. And he used a type of masking tape which does not harm the wall.
@razzor432 depends on your setup, I have all my lows going to a sub with a crossover - also it really depends on the location you're at, if you're on stage you don't need to raise those much at all, also I use passive speakers (I like the exercise of carrying amps around lol) so I just need to wrap my speakon cable around the speaker stand so there's no loose slack. Each PA setup is unique so it's really hit and miss, I usually always adjust at least one thing when I sound check before a gig.
Definitely - especially when you have to eventually replace one of the speakers, not as hard on your wallet, amplifiers can usually last longer than speakers, plus I hate having to go up to the actual speakers to control the sound, I remember when I first started doing sound with a church group for dances they had American Audio speakers with EQ and level controls - but each speaker sounded different with the same settings! Talk about a headache
@razzor432 so you`ve never used coda audio or meyersound boxes then. It depends what you want your box to do Active boxes will always be louder than their passive counterpart!
what do you mean when you say: LMAO? it´s something i read a lot and i never get it. I know it´s a stupid question but i´m fed up reading it...thank you
