about the base in futenma...I honestly have no clue what's going on, like to be an honest American, I do agree with Japan that the U.S. base should be relocated somewhere else other than Okinawa, but here's the problem, they want to do relocate it without pissing America off...though they already have XD. Japan shouldn't worry about that because that land has and always been Japan's land, so they should be the one's in control. And besides, let them take care of their own country!!

Hatoyama's view represents some of the Japanese frustration over US-Japan relationship. Particularly US-base issue, Japanese people particularly Okinawan are stripped the basic human rights at the cost of US presence. Also I expect the Hatoyama government to plobe deeply into the secret pact on nuclear weapons which must be revealed. I hope US media cover much more about Japan enough to see what Japanese people really have in mind.
