Its worth noting that this gun can theoretically do an amazing 1200rpm, by far the most of any gun in the game - however you'd need realyl fast clicking for that to happen - and also of course the accuracy at that rate of fire would be attrocious, but probably still useful for CQC.

Is there any accuracy/recoil differences between using the two round burst fire mode and tapping in normal burst fire mode ? It feels the same to me on an accuracy perspective, which makes me wonder if the 2round burst fire mode is actually redundant.

@maxcn36 as far as I know there shouldn't be. the same 2 shots in auto mode shold act just as in burst mode, but it can't go above its autofire rate if you do that (see my comment just below)

I can't believe this community.. Knifing someone is not playing the objective? If I walk into a guy who's not looking at me I'm damn sure going to knife him and that doesn't make me any less of a team player. But if you meant that following some enemy you see in a distance just to get the tags from him is pointless, then I agree.

I tested the AN-94 again today and did about 120 kills with it. I first tried it out when I unlocked it but hated it very much because of its burst fire and iron sight. But on Mid- to Long Range this weapon is a beast. I think the AN-94 will get one of my favorite weapons on maps like Strike at Karkand, Kharg Island or Caspian Border. Personally I don't like it in CQC Situations and the Automatic Fire is really bad because of its annoying recoil. But anyway it's a great weapon.

Good point about the amount of clicking needed in burst fire. I've found that as I get older my fingers get fatigued quicker from clicking. It doesn't help that I click all day long at work...

What's important to know is that while in full auto, this gun has a rate of fire of 600 RPM, but if you can click fast enough, you can get it to 1200 RPM in its burst fire mode. That makes it THE highest rate of fire in the game.

probably THE MOST underrated assault rifle in the entire game. Can't tell you how many times I've picked off enemies at long range against other ARs. It's actually very accurate even when firing multiple bursts. It's always people using either a f2000 or a god damn famas but every other AR is ignored. Trust me if you go into battle with this wep without using full-auto and treat it differently from other ARs, you'll rack up kills fast! LOVE THIS GUN!

I proudly display my Melee Medal dogtag, and got it while frequently leading my team to victory through pursuit of the objectives. Use discretion and don't be another worthless teammate. You could certainly get a few more if you threw everything else out the window, and I imagine its tougher on PC where people have cranked mouse sensitivity and there's just more people who could be looking at you. But there is no greater thrill than flanking with your buddies and going dogtaggin'.

Great video and commentary. I completely agree with the knifing comment, besides the cool/satisfying animation and dog tags, there is no upside to knifing, its slow, you have to get close and you leave yourself very vulnerable. And I wasn't aware the stuttering on burst fire guns was a glitch... I have a very fast trigger finger and almost gave up on burst fire weapons because the guns always stopped firing.

I just got my 500, AN-94 kills for my weapon dog tag. It's a great gun. I ended up using the PK-A scope because of the guns accuracy. It was pretty common for me to countersnipe recons at 250-300 meters. (PK-A/foregrip/heavy barrel).

My KD is shot to hell because often i find myself being the only person PTFO. But i knife when it's safe. So i maybe change your statement. It's like saying. @TheEcasx They decrease spread, random bullet spread (so they do increase accuracy), reduce recoil and decrease hip fire accuracy. Also they make your bullets much slower and make them travel at about 300m/s regardless of their initial guns speed. And I know it from both stats and experience...over 140 hours of BF3. The accuracy increase w/ supressors is significant. And IMHO AN94 sux major ass. It's weak as hell and unless you can reliably go for HS every time is just outclassed

@TheEcasx Because you can't read the charts...that's why you get it wrong. Under spread, if you were to take your time and read the whole description it's spread increment...not spread size. The spread size is just on the side and ADS the max spread is decreased by 50%...So yes the do increase accuracy and they are actually as using a Heavy barrel on many guns, and they're much better because spread increase is not affected (for most guns it's 0,1 per shot) and they reduce recoil.DERP
