Isn't there something in the new Catechism like "this time until the Lord comes is a time of watching and waiting"? In other words, the meaning of the whole of time since Christ came is to wait for the signs of His coming?

I thought you missed a good point though, which is that "waiting for " prepares us for "waiting ON" - watching the Presence of the Master to understand His intentions now?
