I hate how Trivium is a mix of screaming and really melodic tone at the same time, in my opinion bands like Five Finger Death Punch are the only ones who should use screaming because they have overall a heavier tone.

As for the rest of the songs of Five Finger Death Punch, they are just as "pop" as your beloved Trivium songs. The only differences in my opinion is that Five Finger Death Punch has more catchy and original songs and Trivium has too many clished songs and overall it's just crap

I hate how Trivium is a mix of screaming and really melodic tone at the same time, in my opinion bands like Five Finger Death Punch are the only ones who should use screaming because they have overall a heavier tone.

As for the rest of the songs of Five Finger Death Punch, they are just as "pop" as your beloved Trivium songs. The only differences in my opinion is that Five Finger Death Punch has more catchy and original songs and Trivium has too many clished songs and overall it's just crap

I have heard a lot of metal core bands, especially because I'm from Finland, where a lot of amature metalcore bands come from. It's kind of like an extremely oversimplified introduction to the concepts of subjectivity and objectivity. As for attributing "new and fresh" to FFDP: that is just laughable. They have the most generic trite and uninspired riffs. No knowledge behind their music at all.

But they are used pretty well in the song structure, and every song seemes to have a own theme. I think Trivium songs are just... Trivium. A cliche does not stand for "predictable or overused", a cliche stands for a 'a banal and superficial concept or idea'. I know the words sound similar to you, but there's a lot more conditional depth to the second definition. And song structure, being entirely a format, is incompatible with "cliche".
