I myself am a saved / born again believer,faithfully putting all my trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life.
What is going on within the neo Christian Church of extra biblical teaching and self serving "Hey everybody check out my spirit filled behavior" is a travesty to the legitimacy and respect of the true body of saints in Christ.

Orthodox Christians never put anyone in saved or unsaved catagories. My church is the Antiochian Orthodox Church. Only God knows who is saved or not...you don't suppose that you are God do you?
Antioch 7 is doing a good thing by warning people of delusions, deceptions and false spirits. Do not rebuke him. It is the loving shepard that guards the sheep and watches for the wolves. Read the epistles and see how much Saint Paul speaks of this. Do not judge another man's servant.

I am getting pretty thick skinned to all of this criticism,but it is always good to hear another saint in Christ standing in the gap for love and truth of the Gospel.
More than anything, it has become an issue of killing the messenger.
When God's word convicts these folks ,they seem to misinterpret it as a personal attack by one of us,and instead of testing these instances in light of scripture,reasoning heads to the sidelines.

While it may oft times seem harsh,It is actually a genuine love for the lost, as well as looking after the saints in Christ that keeps me fighting this battle.
To know the truth and ignore the obvious,not speaking up, would be very unloving.I care for every soul that may fall prey to this.These folks are taking the unlearned and undiscipled straight to the pit,and I ache over that fact.

I live in Minneapolis, where Brandon Barthrop also lives and does most of his ministry. A couple weeks ago I went to one of his ministry venues at the University of Minnesota and saw him in action. It was "Apostolic Hip Hop" night at a Christian Internet Cafe/Coffee House. Brandon stumbled around the entire evening taking deep drags from a plastic toy lamb. When a drunk guy approached him on the sidewalk, Brandon said, "We aren't drunk on alcohol here. We're intoxicated on Papa's breast milk."

No, I didn't hear Brandon share the Gospel with the young man, although I missed the very beginning (less than a minute) of their conversation. I was listening for it too. Instead, Brandon urged him to "partake of the mystical, heavenly bliss and the wine barrel of heaven" so that he could get "permawhacked in the glory of God."
I think the reference to a Biblical apostle stumbling around like a drunken idiot can be found somewhere in Revelation chapter 23 :-)

Thanks for the response... A lot of our clothing in the west is made by people who make the shirt and go home and worship demons. I wear the shirt, not the demons. I could play Jimmy Page's guitar or live in Alister Crowley's house and not be in sin. The shirt is irrelevent. I threw out almost all my secular music material when I got saved, but I don't place that requirement on others, and nor should you. Let the Holy Spirit convict, He is well able to do His job. Paul has good teaching on this.

As for Shamanism etc...I see nothing wrong with shaking during prayer, or even to be caught up into ecstasies. Many Prophets and Saints describe this. My prayertime looks a bit different than this, but Im a different person! Vibrating and laughing while asking for the lightnings (judgements) of God, manifest Glory is OK according to the Bible. Shamans ask for demons according to their sinful lusts, while Christians call on the Lord out of a pure heart, which is what this man is asking for.

You may not like the look of the manifestation, thats OK. It may look like Shamanism or occult, but there is a big difference. Many people called Jesus a sorcerer as well but He was no warlock. If you call on the Lord, you will recieve the Lord. If you call on a demon, you will get demons. The evidence of what is influencing a person is seen in their speech, and their conduct. Demons influence people to lust, malice, sin etc. The Holy Spirit leads to righteousness and peace and true revelation.

I am well confident that righteousness is increasing through these new movings of the Holy Spirit, and young people (children in your eyes) everywhere are being saturated with the Spirit of Might and Council, and He is allowing us to resist all temptation and break into the Kingdom of Heaven with fresh fire and unimaginable Spiritual power.

If this "mystic bliss" thing is not of God, it will certainly come to nothing. But if it is at all inspired by God it is compeletely unstoppable. I am personally tired of us getting so hung up on the outer appearance of manifestations that we forget what we fight for: A total Holy Spirit inspired revolution that destroys the work of Satan and lays waste to the powers of hell that are at work in the church today.

Hello antioch7, I have to say that I am truly amazed by this stuff, jahlove297 is one of the more extreme cases that I have seen and he seems to just get weirder and weirder. I truly wonder what is going to happen to these people down the road, also, I had many conversations with jahlove about the unscriptural practices and all they do is eventually block you so you cannot comment anymore, oh well.

Not surprising that Jesus warned us that many would come in his name, and in turn, be false.The Word has been thrown aside as long as the experience is dynamic enough.
I have never seen our Lord's name sandbagged in front of so much heretical and nonsensical doctrine until these last few years.
I have emailed,commented, and called out most of these folks,yet they either delete and block my comments void of Biblical defense, or tell me that I need to lose my religious spirit.
