  • Easier to get laid! Hehe

  • Thanks Steve. These videos really help people get out of ruts. Starting my workout regimen half a year ago was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

  • hey Steve! i watched this one a couple of times, to see if you were alluding to insulin sensitivity. i guess you are though you really should flagship that one. many pre-diabetics need to know this little gem.

insulin sensitivity is about the best indicator of how long your life will be that we have right now. too much iron in the diet isn't good but it seems everyday more evidence turns up to support iron in the gym.

*sad* i really was trying to avoid working out to. :( oh well.

  • This video could have been two days long, working out has endless benefits.

  • Weight lifting also increases bone density. Very helpful, especially for older people :)

  • @Chaaarge Very true!

  • What is your opinion on the sport of cycling? I have to stay light to climb well on my bike, so I find my self scared to lift weights although I do want to look lean and ripped, is there a way of lifting that ensures you don't gain much size but still some strength (like Bruce lee).

  • @ithinksasukeiscool I answered your question on my 8-2-10 BlogTalkRadio com show. You can listen there or on iTunes. Search Steve Turano. Recent shows can be heard on my site home page at the bottom once they upload. I also host a Sat. morning radio show from 9-10 am EST on 1340 am Tan Talk radio. • thanks i apreciate that.

  • at wat age do yuh consider to start working out im 16 but yet many others have told me it is bad and will effect how tall one may grow and thanks for tha vid.

  • @esteban3857 You can start lifting at 16. Just do is sensibly and start out slowly.

  • Hey Steve,Im 17 and i love working out,ive been doing it for 2 years and I'd love to enter Bodybuilding or strongman contests in the future and I really wanna know is it possible to get as big as guys like Branch Warren or Ronnie Coleman without taking steroids?thanks

  • @vicwootenisgod No. Those guys, and ALL other top level amateurs and professionals) take TONS of steroids. Sorry. But you can get bigger and stronger by lifting smart and hard.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV thanks, I love your show on blogtalkradio it's great!

  • Hey Steve im 17 and i plan on building lots of muscle over the next few years and im already lifting weights for 2 years,i love it,I'd really like to enter bodybuilding or strong man contests somtime in the future and heres the question, is it possible to ever get as big and muscular as guys like Branch Warren or Ronnie Coleman without steroids?thanks

  • Exercising is a sacrifice because it's booooring. You can't play your favorite video games while doing it. I have no idea how people could do it before the invention of portable video players. At least these days you can watch TV while working out.

  • The mike reverbs abit, but apart from that one thing--I agree with this guy and love his videos!

  • I agree 100%

  • basically, if your workout you can eat anything w/o counting calories 24/7 since you'll burn it by lifting.

  • is it true that working out will improve the health of your skin? just wondering, i've heard something similar some time back.

  • Sweating clears the pores.

  • Interchangeable? One cannot be converted to the other. But you can build muscle while losing fat.

  • can a 14 year old start working out??

    im 6'1 btw

  • Go for it mate, you could have began working out when you were 4 years of age.

Working out doesnt specifically infer that you must lift the heaviest weights with the greatest intensity. Just exercise to your own ability and gradually increase the intensity as you become fitter.

Find enjoyment in exercise and remember the benefits, as this will keep you motivated to keep at it.

  • Hi Steve,

Thanks for all the general information. I noticed while viewing several videos that you seem to lump fat loss and weight loss as interchangeable terms and I am wondering if that is on purpose.

    Thanks.

  • He never said he know everything, his main goal is to help the fact and fiction.

  • How does he not know everything? What he's he not explaining?

  • No person knows EVERYTHING. Though Steve knows a considerable amount more than most "experts". He also conveys his knowledge in an intelligent manner in which one can easily understand it. He also reiterates the important aspects over and over while adding on to it the better aspects in every new video. He is one of the best - if not the best - personal trainers you could ever find.

  • Very good common sense motivation.

  • you truly are an inspiration- Thanks so much Steve

  • hey, so you are saying i could get a six-pack, if i cheat on my body like 4 times a week, but i exercise each day like running, and i could get it like that?

  • You deserve to have an award for these free tips Steve! Ure a real guy! Keep up the good work Pro!

  • Working out makes me healthier and happier. I think of it as something fun, which helps me not think of it as sacrifice.

If we only had to work out and not watch what we ate, I'd be set.

One problem with eating and then burning it off is people expect more of an effect burning Calories than it actually has. A 12 oz soda has 160 Calories. That's a mile and a half of running right there...

  • My problem is figureing out the right workout for me. I am 5'8" and 170lbs. I do a 15min. warm up on tredmill then work out 1day for Chest/Pecs/Biceps then finish with another 15min. cooling down on tredmill. 2day same warm up and cool down, work on Squats/Legs/Curls. 3rd same warmup/cooldown,work out on Back/Triceps/Lats. 4th same warm/cool,work on Abs/Lowerback. 5th same warmup/cooldown,work on Shoulders/Calves/Lats. Does this seem like a right regimen for me? Love your shows...Not so Tiny Tim.

  • Just want to say thank you for uploading all these videos, been a real help. When I first started i could barely do a pushup ( 1 1/2 weeks ago ) it basically felt like my arm was about to break off. I then went to a local gym and worked on all the things you said and it's been working. I can do a good 20 pushups now and its only been 1 1/2 weeks. I lost 6lbs so far so thank you! literally a life saver!

    I started at 268 and 6'1

  • You're very welcome. That's my goal! Here's a hint, if you spread your legs apart that might help you do a few more push-ups.

  • Thanks a lot! I love your videos.

  • I appreciate that. If most people exercised as much as they argued about weight loss or complained about it, they'd be a lot skinnier.

  • Great advice, I totally agree with everything.

Unfortunately so many people have become very inactive and we now see the evidence of this with an appallingly overweight and unfit society.

Our bodies were designed to move and be put under resistance, people should really listen this guy, it's really good advice.

  • Thanks! There are lots of armchair quarterbacks and idiots out there ready to criticze without really listening to the content or message of my broadcasts. It's nice to get a compliment.

  • Yet another awesome video Steve!
