@BloomingLiSakura Ed didn't kill Pride, he reduced him to his true form, like Mustang did to Envy (but that didn't kill him). Mrs. Bradley raised Pride again as her own. Pride is the only surviving Homunculus. We don't find out if he ever behaves differently from a normal boy. I'm guessing he doesn't. Apparently, Homunculi can age...that's sure begging for a sequel. ;)

The Sephirot or Sephiroth means "enumerations", one of the 10 attributes of God, who is called "Ein Sof", meaning the Infinite, in Kabbalah.

Basically they're showing the metaphor that each person's Gate of Truth is possessed of the attributes of God, and therefore getting sucked inside it lets you know the stuff God knows.

Kabbalah has a lot of influence on the studies of alchemy in the 14th/15th century.

@falkenjeff nothing wrong with liking one more then the other. I love both for different reasons. The first because its really deep and gory and a bit more in depth from beggining to end. Brotherhood starts off a bit faster paced and doesnt take to much time to reflect on certain points of the story until somewhere in the middle where it really picked up and became MUCH more emotional and enjoyable. The action and tension was amazing and the ending is also a bit better.

I liked the original anime better. Think there was a stronger development/connection with the storyline and characters in the original. Most of the homunculus got on my nerves in this one (especially Envy/Wraith, ugh)...with the exception of Greed/Ling = awesome.
