Wow so much hate. Not everyone likes buying matchy matchy crap that everyone has at Ikea. I personally lean towards traditional with a hint of eclectic. I LOVE finding pieces at thrift stores and refurbishing them. Wood doesnt have to match all the time...that makes the room very dull.

A low based candle on wide flat books..... all balanced on a marble (marble = heavy, not easily bumped aside) table. Nothing wrong with that. Not everyone has babies and dogs wandering around, knocking things over. I like the look.

overall, the living is nice.. the coffee table is out of place is should be a wooden low table. the tray with the books isn't a bad idea it looks orderly and can removed if the space is needed. the dresser/end table looks real nice with a lamp maybe some picture frames or some sort of vase but, the empty frame looks too much against the other wall hangings that don't really have any connection.

Whoa, I whole-heartedly disagree with the 'keeping it low' idea. Everything is balance, in my opinion, everyone corner needs something higher than the human can sit or stand. I have four trees, black-lights each side of my 42 inch TV, the rear-speakers are sitting within the branches of the rear-trees, next to the left and right side of the couch. I could teach you guys some cool shit, I love this decorating shit!

I LOVE your livingroom.....LOVE it. This mismatched end pieces flanking the sofa are divine and I see to bring a balance you matched the lamps. I love frames too and have several that I wasn't sure what to do with. I did hang one over the stand vanity mirror in an apt complex to add some interest. The layered look you created is spectacular. Your room is as gorgeous as anything seen on TV.

The candle is in a tin container and you should never leave candles unattended. It's mostly for the ambiance.

Good suggestions but she needed to show some other options. Most people are not able to visualize. Too many books were used and the candle as well as the container were dwarfed. She seemed to be quite exasperated.

I think the room looks tasteful and fabulous. You can tell she knows what she's doing. I would only advise slowing down when talking and having more flow...things I also struggle with in public speaking.

This was really helpful. The only thing that bugs me about this video is that she mispronounces "accessorize". The correct pronunciation is "ack-sessorize", as opposed to "a-sessorize". The first "c" is hard, the second soft. I think a legit designer should know how to pronounce this word.

I simply adore that water bottle (next to the candle) on the table. It adds that extra element so needed in such a room. Also, you might think about keeping a fire extinguisher because of the burning candle. It would work hanging nearby as an art element. Marvelous video.
