I have a dumb question probably, but how do you tell the difference between a 2900 series and a 2800 series Whelen?

@Dilster66 I wondered the same thing a long time ago.

Obviously, the 2900s are newer. But to tell the difference, look at the screens. In the 2900s, they are a lot closer to the speaker, which gives it that extra space when you look at it from a little ways away.

@mohkfry High winds, a tornado. No idea for sure, though. It's on the Siren Archive, #8 in Norman, Oklahoma, Cleveland County.

@dillonrockband it got knocked down a while ago if the picture was taken in 2003. Looks like it was cut down, because if you look closely, the base of the pole doesn't appear to be damaged in any way. It looks to be a flat surface, as if it was cut with a chain saw.
