don't be so hard on yourself, you sounded great! That song is not that easy to sing, especially the "woa is me" part. Singing any song with just "dry" vocals is difficult for even some famous singers, add a touch of reverb and you'd be surprised. Go cut some tracks in a studio, you'll be glad you did. Oh, by the way, you're very pretty. ;)

I'd like to hear this with a studio mix. Just as some advice you have a tendency to go a bit flat every now and then. And you're supposed to be hitting the lead note on the last few chorus sung "poor poor pitiful me" 's there. But you have a great voice and MAN you really nail the "Woah is me!" parts! @322955469 Sorry. As I was saying, He wrote the song but neither he nor the song would have become as know if Ronstadt hadn't made a hit of it. I can appreciate you wanting to give credit to the original writer of a song but I also think credit is due to the person who makes the song worth remaking. Zevon was little known when Ronstadt chose to record his song and who knows how much that choice alone is the reason he became better known. You forget her influence at the time.
