Im 19 bought a zx1000 2004 for 5 grand to learn on. as bad as it sounds but i have had bikes before a 250 ninja was tons of fun but i adapted rapidly and said fuck it anywho I have been VERY SLOWLY adapting to the size and power of the bike. i practice the clutch release and throtle control on a daily basis on drive on unpopulated roads. still scared of the bikes full potential though

@dougaholic It's fine in terms of comfort and ride, I looked a bit gangly on mine when I had it but it's otherwise fine. You'll be hard pressed to find a low cc 1st bike for taller people and still have a sporty look. I could go 3 hours before I needed a break on mine. Go for it.

Kinda fun bikes in the right company. GREAT mpg over 80 mpg even when screwing around. My Husky 610 fills this niche and is a better fit for me though (of course it doesn't get the mpg, is twice the displacement, costs more, and sits tall).

If I were 16 again, this bike would rock (when I was 16, I had a 125 honda cb something....slooooooow, but better than walking).

anyway, i put my money towards a hayabusa and then brought the restircter kit for it...

and paid the £2000 insurence...

got the bike for just over £4000 and took my a2 test so alltogether i have spent £6590

But its a life time bike, when i take the restricter off of it, but if i was to get this, that would be it, and id be bored quick!

Abgesehen davon kostet Sie in DE ca. 4300€ und der Preis ist wirklich gerechtfertigt. max speed is 105mph, 0-60 in 5.7sec. they can do 1/4 of a mile travling at 80mph in 12.7sec. really good first bike to own as they are forgiving with beginer mistakes, plus there really good on full, about 60-70 miles to the gallon.

When i say more forgiving, i mean for exsample if you give to much exseleration or slip on the throttle you wont get thrown like a rag doll who hasnt exspearienced a bike befor. im now looking at a bandit 600,the nija 250-r will be fun but i think i would get bored of it after a wile, just not enuff power. to get max end out of it it needs to be reved well up in the 9000 to 1000 revs, on the roads you would constantley be droping to gears

but if u want the ride height to be higher

replace the rear spring/shock with a longer/taller one

in my 2006 ninja 250, i raised the rear 6 inches with a sv650 shock, its a basic mod of highering the rear for more aggressive look and higher seat position

It's dumb comments like that that cause people to crash. Do you also tell people not to use their brakes in a turn? Of course you can roll off the throttle or hit the brakes in a turn, you just have some experience doing it so that you know how the motorcycle's going to behave when you do it.

nocalsteve - You are of course right, I agree with you. But I did notice this behaviour in every turn in this video. I also ride a 250 and try to brake/roll off before the turn and then have a constant throttle during the turn. It's a rule (according to CSS) that when you are in a turn, under normal circumstances, you should either be constant or be accelerating just a bit. Our 250s thankfully are very forgiving, so that we can learn on them and be much less error prone when we upgrade to 600cc.
