If K1 rules would not forbid elbow moves Muay Thai will be the only fighting style that would win...Muay Thai fighters win the most anyway in K1, Muay Thai fighters are living killers in street fights!
This is Mae Mai Muay Thai, the father of Muay Thai.
Muay Thai it's just the sport of Mae Mai Muay Thai.
The Thai warriors in the past centuries used two styles of combat : Krabi Krabong, it means "the art of the armed combat" the warriors fought with swords and other weapons, then comes Mae Mai Muay Thai "the art of disarmed combat" and that's what you see in this video, in the past it was usually to put pieces of glass on the protections around the hands.
You almost right about everything except that Mae mai are technics to use in muaythai. Not father of muaythai. Did you inform yourself that well enough?
And yes muaythai came from krabi krabong only because when soldiers lost their weapons they still can fight with bare hands. This clip you see we Thai ppl call it Muay Boran (old muaythai style).
BULLSHIT! do you know how many fighters died in the ring anyway? sometimes they put the hemp strokes in water to harden it, after wrapping it around the hands and forearms, but they never putted pieces of broken glass around. those are fairytales.
actually they did, but not glasspieces. the muay kachuck is hardened in tree gum and glasspowder. and this is where this fairytale comes from. i´ve seen it and i also tryed it, it works.
@ShinyRaw kad chuck is more like hemp rope... glasspowder no man you got some of the facts wong its the hard tee sap that cuts you when wet with water or sweat. no glasspowder.
for eg lets say in ana amateur combat can you do the the leg-jump-knee-to-the-face movement? what about the spin-elbow-to-the-face? any of this video represented (of course the punches and kicks)
then you should watch some thai fights, i am talking about fullrules fights with thai and not shit kickboxing k1. some thai boxer do those moves in a profight
This is why I love Muay Thai!So classical so brutal yet elegant!
