Excellent Job! Out of all of the videos of Mary Lou on YouTube, this is probably my favorite.
As a constructive word, enunciating words helps a lot, and getting the same vowel sound will help the chords. That said, watch some of the harmonies at the end. That's where you get a lot of those traditional barbershop chords. consistent vowel sounds among the quartet will help this. Tempo I think was great, just take it a little slower. That will help with enunciation.
my only complaint is, the last verse, the bass should remove "that we'd never part" and just put "we'd never part" thats what my quartet did, great job though.
Excellent interpretation. The lead really nailed some quality phrasing.
For example "Oh I wanted you forever more" at about seven seconds in. The lead didn't give too much value to the word "wanted" like everyone else who performs this song seems to do. He moved right through it so that he sang the "ooh" vowel in "you" right on the beat.
Couple of quick comments you'd get from the judges.
Presentation: Seth, watch your hands. You're doing what's called "nervous posturing". It's OK to have your hands at your sides & give a quick gesture when appropriate to the lyric of the song. (as a lead I have trouble with this too & have gotten this comment from judges in the past)
Music & Singing: Lacked dynamic range. PP can be just as powerful as FF.
