  • I like the music, th wood stove and coffee pot and the Vandwelling life style . . .

I hope to see more like this in your travels . . .

    Good Luck . . . .

  • This is GREAT! Hey Catinnahat, how did you upload the vid? Stay warm and have a wonderfull NEW YEARS!

  • @metube1976 I used an iPod touch. I will update video description. Please see more detail there if interested.

  • Nice van settup. Kind of a homemade mobile home. The picture was very clear, 'though a bit narrow. Sound is good too. What is the name on that fiddle? It sounds great. Keep pullin' that bow, you got real talent.

    Jesus is coming soon.

  • video was done on an iPod touch 4G held vertically. When the video was rotated in editing, the framing narrowed. Sorry, but it's all I have.

The fiddle was purchased from a friend for $50. That's what they told me they paid when they got it. No label info. or history but it sounds nice to me too. Thanks for commenting!

  • @catinnahat I inherited my great granddaddy's old fiddle. It's like the one you describe: no label; sounds good. It was second-hand when he bought it so there's no telling how old it is. It has "born-in" bass notes and a snake-rattle. But I can't make it sound like you do. Oh well...

  • Perfect setup... What more would you need.

  • Sweet!! I've never seen a wood-burning stove installed (or used) in a van B4, but I like it. I know a lady who uses her 4-door Chevy Blazer in the same way... she has collected/bought/sold antiques with her vehicle for over 45 years. She removed everything from the interior except the driver's seat. Thanks for posting!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Red

  • It works real nice for 1 person in a van with the passenger seat removed. I was lucky to purchase that stove at an antique engine show last fall. The casting on the fire door says it was made in Alabama. No guess as to how old it is, but I have seen similar "made in Taiwan" copies of those small antique potbellied stoves. It's really fun to use!
