  • I would be dead by now.

  • whats around his neck?

  • Damn that guy is a beast. I'm a swimmer and I can swim farther under water than any1 I know and I can do a 75 lol

  • very good ... has he beaten this record since 2008..

  • what a beast.

  • @bruceritter43 The deeper the water the more efficient the oxygen transfer in the lungs i believe. More pressure to work with.

  • it's not metres, it's yards

  • @smileeeeys its metres... its a 25m pool.. he does 4 1/2 lengths!

  • looks like hes flying with underwear

  • thumbs up if you tryed to hold your breath and realised how many laps he was doing!!

  • Cool

  • DUDE WTF

  • im running out of air just looking at this guy

  • holy. shit.

  • Wow!!! unreal...

  • Question....should you wait to kick until you have lost all your momentum?

  • @mtb416 ye

  • No safety swimmers....??...o_o

  • what does the neck weight do to help him?

  • The neck weight helps him to level his body while his lungs are full of air. Otherwise to compensate the extra buoyancy he would have to swim through the water on an angle.

  • Couldnt make it till 1:42 :(

  • actually only 4 lengths!! still pretty awesome!

  • he is my new favourite superhero. :)

  • sick

  • is the camera man holding HIS breath the whole time?

  • @terence2180 they have invented cameras are on a long stick... the screen is on one end (dry) and the camera is on the other (not dry) so that swim coaches can stay on land and still record underwater.

  • @terence2180 Snorkel/Scuba Gear.

  • how do you do it

  • Find me the french man, bring me jacques mayol!

  • @collfaragher WIN

  • some people are so discouraging, like this guy... WTF

  • this dude is a beast

  • couldnt hold my breath that long got to 2:02 lol

  • My best was 75m and turn, I had to go up and take a breath after. If you are a swimmer and you practice you can achieve 50m easily. Always with supervision of course.

  • well done!

  • I'm a novice swimmer, last night i managed to do 25 meters underwater, withouth fins, and it took me a month of practice to get there... 112 m, sounds like a loooot of practice:) Good job!

  • sorry, but I guess it'll be very difficult to become a freediver, as I'm only 15 years old, and am not a freedived, but managed to swim 50m without fins. 4 or 5 try though. keep working

  • good thing you started swimming bro. i have been swimming for 9 years now and i can do 100m under water. it took me forever to get there.

  • His upper torso appears to me turning red...

  • hes under like 150 pounds of water pressure, has a weight around his neck , isnt breathing, and is swimming with no fins its only normal to turn red while enduring all of that lol

  • damn he holds his breath forever

  • don use tht pool, the divide in between where the deep end starts ruins ur swim, forget distance covered, just disturbs the rythm and motion..i hv the same problem,

  • In my village we have a saying...

  • dont try this at home!!!

  • no1 has a pool like this at home...

  • Nice dive - good streamlining!

Try to keep your rest and glide phase after 75 meters. Also I think at that point you were swimming rather close to the floor causing your armstroke to be wide and not so effecient. I think 0.5-1kg around the waist would give a better glide and a more relaxed way of swimming.

  • what is the thing around his neck?

  • weight

  • so could have done the 125(and a turn around)

  • mate i know i just bottled it it..fuckin doing it this week for sure. hopefully
