  • cool!

  • minecraft footsteps

  • I like this music used to tame the beast. His Story (History) will not tell you the Moors used music to help tame the European now today the European use music to keep us in animail state.

  • Its good, esp the message.

  • wats the name of the song @ the end?

  • just love it.

  • Good morality.

  • Ggzf

  • What's the name of the song at the end?

  • awesome concept

  • I love it.

  • What's the name of the story this is bassed off of? The expressions on the little boy playing the drum are awsome!

  • @misspinkpunkykat ~ I heard a story called "Strange Animal" that was similar to this. It was on a CD set I got from the public library under Alexander McCall Smith who also wrote the novels for the No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency. It was more detailed and longer than this video but the same general concept about the boy playing his drum and getting the animal to dance after he'd swallowed his relatives. I'm sure this is an old story with many adaptations.

  • @MamaNzinga Thanks! I love African stories and folktales!

  • How the FUCK does a cartoon (especially one like this) symbolize white supremacy and satan??? #seriously confused

  • :/ Why the Lion King opening? :(

  • Well that was disturbing, but good :D Real good!

  • ummm, why do her boobs and butt look like that. Aha, it's funny though, i was laughing just at that. But nice show

  • The only part that shocked me, was the African woman's swinging breasts and HUGE 'Apple-Bottom'! O_O

Other than that, I see no racisim in this! Besides the protrayal of the African mother.

  • You did a fantastic job on this. As a cartoon, some exaggeration should be expected. The fact that you gave mama some back was creative and ultimately courageous, as evidenced by some of the responses you've received. If the characters had been spitefully distorted, one would have some reason to suspect a warped intent on the part of the artist, Instead, these characters have a pleasant appearance. I hope you will do more, I look forward to seeing them.

  • @VixenHigh I knew that I wouldn't have to read very far before I found a complaint about the mother's behind. Jeez.

  • the bouncing boobies were my favorite part! Great work...

  • Wow, very cool. That was a really good job. ^_^

  • Great job.......I love the song,very creative.

  • lol poor kylie

  • Is this a black production?

  • @ddsharper Why?

  • @gunslingrr6 because I want to know. That's why. What's it to you?

  • @ddsharper Just wanted to see if it was a dumb reason. Thanks.

  • @gunslingrr6 - a dumb reason? Who are you? Who are you to judge my reason for asking? There are white perspective of blacks (wrong) and black perspectives of blacks (right or wrong). That is why I want to know. As if it is any of your white supremacy business, policing the world, the thoughts and the actions of mankind, like Satan, roaming the earth, seeing whom he may devour. The arrogance.

  • @ddsharper I shouldn't have asked why the way I did. It set the wrong tone, but I did want to know why you asked. Although it's not completely clear, I think I see where you're going, and I agree that this is a line of discourse that needs to be begun. So, I beg your pardon for any offense you may have taken from my question. I wish we could have that discussion.

  • @gunslingrr6 Thank you. My apologies too.

  • damn them titties can bounce. bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy. to continue bouncing later

  • this is pretty awesome!

  • haha i like the bouncing animation

    totally wicked!!!

  • This is Jim Crowe stereotyping of Africans. As someone who lives in the South, I found the myth that people of African descent have larger parts than others to be far from the truth. African women do not really have unattractive, big boobs and butt. This animation should not represent your institution. It is outright offensive. In African art big butt signifies fertility - to say she is a mother to many children. But in this piece nothing is mentioned about her other children.

  • Hi all! I'm one of the other animation students that worked on this project - today, kmprowler told me how many comments and views we'd gotten and I came to take a look. I definitely enjoyed reading them, thank you all so much for your feedback!

The biggest issue - the bouncing breasts, lol....well, I think that we were just trying to portray her as an overbearing/stressed out mother more than anything else, that's all. :) FYI, this was made by an almost completely female team!

  • so ive really enjoyed the response and comments we have received for this video. at no point did we want any of the content to be offensive, and we were very careful to keep everything as clean and friendly as possible. it appears some viewers are still a tad...offended by the bouncing boobies, but i know it is impossible to please everyone. but even those displeased with the breasts seem alright with the rest of the video, so i say thank you to everyone, even those offended, for the feedback.

  • @kmprowler I thought it looked very good. I have seen women who go a very long time without wearing bras and that movement is very realistic. Personally, I felt the boy deserved to have some nipples. The shirt looks a bit too low for them to not be showing. Other than that, great job! I think the mother character had the strongest character design/personality, although the boy had great facial expressions. (I'm going to school for animation to.)

  • @kmprowler the video is nice but.....what was the point of the bouncing breast? im not saying this in a derogatory manner, I just want to know. Are you trying to show the realism of a African woman?

  • @bri80056 its just what happens when you dont wear bras lol. thats how it is in the village

  • where can I find the music in the beginning?

  • @Zewaldi0007 the music credits are at the end of the clip, but we actually were lucky enough to get permission to use ladysmith black mambazo's kangivumanga (i disagree) but because we used that song we can never enter the animation into a competition where we might win money. kinda sucks, but i really like the way the song works with the clip, so its a blow we were all willing to take.

  • Félicitations!

  • LOVE IT! lol

  • Greetings. Can someone contact us through our website contact page to discuss a possibel collaboration. We are a global digital distribution company in providing contents to the Caribbean & Africa diaspora, I feel we could be of mutual benifit with your contents. Great stuff...contact us add the three w's at the beginning and the dot com at the end as this message would be blocked by youtube go Look forward to hearing from you soon. We will discuss further then.

  • Violated my iden... WHAT???? You for real, 009??? Lol!!!

  • u really gotta make more!

  • But why the exaggerated bouncing breasts? As a black african women i am not impressed. U have violated my identity.

  • chai!

  • Obama father and Obama grand mother.

  • Hakuna matata?

  • nothing wrong with the breasts swinging... thats what breasts do. I assume she doesn't bother with bras which is in line with the village scene. Awesome work? Was this an African American animation team?

  • @camelbumper it was not. we were all college students in phoenix, az that did this as a class assignment and based the project on an old african myth one of the girls in the group found while researching ideas at the library.

  • I love this. Hope to see more.

  • Lol the moms tits were bouncing the whole time!!! Made me sick... Lmao but the story was cute xD

  • I love it and love it ,Need more.

  • Nice. One of my classmates used this in his presentation for History and Trends of Animation.

  • @mewstarbeam really? i hope they didnt use it to show things were on their way down compared to where they used to be :P

  • @kmprowler lol no

they used it as an example of african animation

  • she got a** hmm lol

  • that's really great. I see that in different countries, african people start doing this.

I like the song at the beginning.

I really would like to receive the link to see ur blog.

    good job

  • Great video. Give thanks.

  • it made me laugh, i enjoyed it thoroughly

  • lol..somehow,the mom's boobs and pink fruits resemble each other

  • is there a part 2

  • Awesome jobs you guys...Me like, me like it a lot...

  • You did an excelant job!

  • kind of sloppy looking...but nice short story

  • what kind of creature is that red monster?

  • I don't why, but when the monster just up and swallowed his mom whole like that I started laughing my ass off. Good short though.

  • Good idea, but sooo wrong with the boobs and butt! You made the woman like an animal rather than a human being!

  • Although short, I enjoyed this..Great job guys

  • are you white, or black? i hope you are black.

  • @PrinceZukoMarley sorry to disappoint, but im a white female

  • @kmprowler it was animated well but the breasts made it hard to watch. they didnt even move realistically.

this could be a good animation for children if you tame the breasts as they became the focal point which im assuming was not your aim.

  • @kmprowler stupid white people!this cartoon sucks by the way .

  • @DegahbourCity what's your problem? how does this suck?

  • @kmprowler nice work being . you did a good job at showing the the african village the way it really is and not afraid of letting the boobs swing lol. west african folktales admire the human body

  • @PrinceZukoMarley y should her race matter lol a bit racist dont u think

  • oooooooo i really enjoyed dis

    well dun

    more!

  • Nice!

  • thanks :)

  • unfortunately the group and i have graduated and i have lost contact with alot of the members, which is a real shame. if you are interested in seeing some of the designs and such that i have done, i can link you to my blog and you can take a look. animation wise i will be doing more and posting them here independent of the group.

  • Hahaha....Aaww that's tight! I go to tohe Art Institute too...cool!

  • sweet! which art institute?

  • Nice. I love the music making the creature dance touch. Music is everything! GOod work too!

  • thanks! music came from lady blacksmith mombazo. its actually really cool that they gave us permission to use it considering how famous they are :) thanks for the nice compliments. always nice to hear what people think :D

  • How do you make those animations? I want to try to make one too.

  • did it the good old fashioned way. we drew the roughs on animation paper and figured out the timing, then we in betweened, or added more drawings to make it look fluid, and cleaned up the animation. there are alot of rules to apply, and it takes a while to get used to it, but once you do you cant help but be addicted to it. :3

  • see, thats what i said too. but hey, its funny. :P i didnt realize what a problem they would be until right after when the first thing everyone said was "BOOBIES!!"

but hey, what can ya do? :P thanks for the comment :)
