i just bought a tipman 1-5...i just started and i think its a pretty good gun...it has a cyclone feader...so it doesnt need any batteries...its not a realy a tournament gun or a speedball gun...but i reccomend it if u just starting

tippmans are good for woodsball very reliable guns you can throw them around and they'll last forever but if your gonna play speedball and your a beginner go with a spyder or maybe a bushmaster, there 200-300$, just be prepared to spend some money on a good hopper and tank too, go with compressed air co2 is becoming a thing of the past. And as for ions I've heard there good but I wouldn't waste 200$ on a plastic gun and I haven't played in a year or so I go with my impulse
