Yes something is spinning. If you look at when the machine changes tools to the grinding wheel coolant is activated and the new tool in the spindle begins to spin (1000RPM I'm guessing) to sufrace grind the given piece. I'm 17 and I have the basic concept down I think!! lol
Thia is great .I want to try this out for surface grinding of small parts on my VMC

Cool! is this a vmc adapted for grinding or a specialized grinding machine?
Must need coolant filtration to protect the machines slideways..?
