  • @Nostalgico80 You do understand that you are saying Alice Cooper DID invent something, right?

  • @youhavegeniusshins Mine was a joke, don't worry ;-) .

  • Can you believe that there's people who say that they play rock n roll and DON'T know who Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, and Howlin Wolf are?

  • @elo333333333 I met some teens the other day (in England) that had no idea who was Chuck Berry ,Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and thats with all the benefit of YT, Spotify etc etc and I think they are pretty typical of a generation who think drumnbass and c-rap is music

  • @elo333333333 Hell if they don't know the Blues, what is the point of cick up a guitar and play rockn'roll

  • Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry TRUE KINGS OF ROCK N ROLL!!!

  • Check out the guitar at 13 seconds. That is a Gretsch Jupiter Thunderbird designed by Bo and given to Billy Gibbons later.

  • I'll put my 2 cents in. My fave version (after BO's original) is THE WOOLIES from Detroit MI. released in 1966. It absolutely ROCKS! Unfortunately it can not be posted on YT (in it's original form) because of Warner Records.

  • Ugh, George Thorogood compared to Bo?

  • First picture is a Cushman road king!

  • "Just 22 and i don't mind dying."

  • @bilethezombie

My favorite line :) Just heard it in another song by EMA, "California." Pretty good use of it IMO.

  • i had a doctor the image of bo,man he was the best

  • Did you guys check out The Doors version of this song? I don't think it's well-known but it's just as good as the original in my opinion.

  • @rocknrollforever10 Yea, doors version is excellent. I also like Rory Gallagher's cover.

  • @Weedtoker590 You're right, his version is very nice too.

  • @rocknrollforever10 i know this is pretty ignorant, but i heard the doors version before this and actually thought it was by them for a while ;)

  • @rocknrollforever10 strongly recommend you check out Quicksilver Messenger Service version, if your into ur west coast psychedelia its a must

  • @theblahman Thanks a lot for this recommendation. I've heard of this band before but I never decided to check them out but I'm glad I did. Most psychedelic version of this song I ever heard, wich is great.

  • @rocknrollforever10 Doors is best cover of this. handsman-down.

  • @rocknrollforever10

you fucking idiot. couldn't be farther from the truth

  • @rocknrollforever10 definitely my favorite version of this song

  • @rocknrollforever10 quicksilver messenger service...that's where its at. the doors version...yes, beautiful

  • @rocknrollforever10 The Quicksilver Messenger Service version of this song is even better than The Doors by far.

  • @rocknrollforever10 i disagree.:

  • @rocknrollforever10 I love The Doors, and it's because of them I came across the original, which is great. The Doors made it theit own though, I give them that. Many artist's stick to the original vibe and sound of the song.

  • @rocknrollforever10

there's also a recommended Doors version played live in Vancouver with guest Albert King on guitar. Check it out!

  • @rocknrollforever10 Man , you should hear Jucy Lucy's version.

  • @rocknrollforever10 yeah man, I heard the Doors version of this song first actually. I was really disappointed when I found out that they didn't write it. I don't know why. Still pretty good though.

  • thumbs up if you liked this song before mafia 2!

  • tuff lyrics

  • Heard George Thorogood sing this first, that very good too.

  • i discoverd bo diddley after googling the name thinking theres gotta be a dude with his name out there.

  • meh, i like the george thorogood version better.

  • This music is some "Bad Ass Shit!" Bo Didley is "the Man" of the 50's as Jimi Hendrix was "the Man" of the 60's !

  • Wow, this music kicks shit. Pheewwww...

  • bo diddley---super bad ass

  • Im learning the drums to that :-) xx

  • awesome o :)

  • I was looking for a Bo Diddley song to listen to, and I had no clue before listening to this song that George Thorogood's version was a cover. I guess I learn new things everyday, as the saying goes. This is totally cool.

  • I'm proud to be from McComb Mississippi because of this guy!!!

  • when I listen to (50's-80's) music I always tap my feet on the floor

  • its made out of human skull. what a badass

  • @EvilDeadHateCrew ye my mans raw...hes got a tombestone hand and a graveyard mind just 22 and he dont mind dying..brap

  • im sorry. I have the utmost respect for Bo and what he did, but I have to say George Thorogood made this song what it is. He definitely made the best version. He gives life to the song.

  • @ledrocker555

    Say WHAT?!

  • @ledrocker555

After Bo's demise, my friend (journalist Elliot Cohen) interviewed George Thorogood about Bo. When my friend commented to George that many folks might not know who Diddley was without Thorogood then George replied:"Listen, NO ONE would know who I am had there been no Bo Diddley!"

    Well said, George! :)

  • @Babyhowdy233 yeah, but george would be the first to tell you that john hammond's influence was really the thing that got him interested in what george's style was to become

  • @ultrakool

Hmm...my friend interviewed George for almost two hours and asked him point blank who his influences were, and John Hammond's name never came up once. :/

  • @Babyhowdy233 george talks about his influences here (including john hammond) watch?v=rfl76DsuLxQ

  • Half of rock is built on the Bo Diddley beat. And lets not confuse "Pop" with "Rock". This man, and his "Hey Bo Diddley" are the heart of rock and roll. And the simple sound of his earlier years is so pure.

  • @lizarddance

    I couldn't have said it better! :)

  • thanks

  • Bo didd the best aerobics-class music ever..shake them pounds OFF

  • awesome Rock'n'Roll of the late 50's this is awesome

    thx for posting!

  • The song is about hoodoo folk magic so I'm guessing the title is a pun just so the song didn't get banned in the 50's. 'Hoodoo You Love'

  • one word: GREAT

  • Best Version by The Doors. Even better than the original
