I actually hate Twilight. At the moment. But considering David Slade (the director of 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy) is directing this one...I think it might actually be very watchable! IF he incorporates some of his own style. It looks hopeful, since he obviously isn't some blind director and does mostly rated R movies. By the way, isn't Twilight kinda like a pre-teen version of Underworld? The plot is VERY, VERY similar.... whatever...

As bad as Twilight is, vampires in folklore really did able to wlak in daylight. Even Dracula can, in his book. He's just weaker in that situation. At least he didn't SPARKLE!

And while werewolves in New Moon look like were-puppies, werewolves in early legends are people who transform fully into wolves, no in-between forms.

The problems with the books and movies go beyond their depiction of monsters, really, like how Bella is like the opposite of a good female protagonist.
