My child weaned herself at 3 years old and I was perfectly happy to continue as long as she wished knowing that most children only feed until 4 at the most. I was comfortable but others may not be. But don't let others push you to do something you don't wish to do.

The WHO recommends breastfeeding for a MINIMUM of two years. The average age of weaning world wide is around 4. Breasts have become way over sexualized which has led to women being embarrassed to admit that they have continued to bf. Its really very sad.
I think it's about time the males of YouTube realize that breasts were given to women specifically for the sole purpose of feeding their children, nothing else. They're tools of life. I just would like to know why u posted so many videos with this issue. I breastfed both my 2 boys till the age of 3. It is amazing how ignorant people can be. North American's have a twisted view of what the purpose of women's breasts are for. When was the last time you saw a woman breastfeeding her baby in public? Yet we should see it all the time and we don't. In other countries you do and it is totally natural.

I agree that school aged children should not nurse. But toddlers up until the age of 3 or 4 is perfectly normal and natural. I breastfed my son til he was 18 months (was going to do it longer but was pregnant and lost my baby at 12 weeks and had to take these pills). Okay I dont mind long term breast feeding, But when I have kids I will breast feed long term but I will use a pump after 6-8 months. And will probably ween arround 1 or 2 years old. This is beautiful. I would have loved to breastfeed my son, when you're told by the lactation consultant to switch to formula, you know there's a problem. Sweet kids, wonderful beautiful mothers.

I breastfed my son til he was 18 months (was going to do it longer but was pregnant and lost my baby at 12 weeks and had to take these pills). I now have a 3 mo old daughter and plan to nurse her til shes at least 2. My husband doesnt want me to but i tell him its better and healthier and that its not really up to him anyways lol

Okay I dont mind long term breast feeding, But when I have kids I will breast feed long term but I will use a pump after 6-8 months. And will probably ween arround 1 or 2 years old. I dont want them to be allways on my chest but I want them to have that nutrition and not that formula crap. It seems reasonable to me.

oh no I want to wean my child, not because I think its weird but I cant see myself breastfeeding her after two yrs, I want her to be more independant, its been nice nursing her and bonding, and I know it was better than formula because its the real thing, with no man made formula.

sweet babies, mine will be 2 in a few days and I'm still nursing too. I love it when he falls asleep while nursing, so peacefully and he looks so satisfied like he's getting the best ever drink of his whole life. They're precious and so are these moments that will not come back. I enjoy every moment of his grateful looks and feel right to do such a normal and natural thing.
