  • i will now name this... the halocopter

  • Great engineering marvel. The way I see it though is that it brings very few upgrades to the table, especially for the cost and complexity. It gives cargo/troop transport better range and speed, while retaining the vertical lift capability of a helicopter.

The Osprey is potentially more survivable as well, using speed, low level and planning to avoid enemy fire, but V22 MUST do this as there is no weight margin to spare to uparmour it. Too bad this weakness will limit it to the rear for now.

  • they chose these over the pave low???

  • @MrBoler369

Faster and can cover a larger variety of missions bringing different and multi role capabilities for special operations missions.

  • @CrazedMachine why thank you for the clarification. lol

  • They did new up grades are in work!

  • did they ever weponize the osprey?

  • I don't like these, vs the H-53, I have no idea why they would choose these things over it.

  • @strikerk it has almost double the top speed >.>

  • @mbielchris It's still stinky and ugly and looks like poo and it's loud and sticky.

  • @strikerk it doesn't have to be beautifull to do its job.....and i actually quite like it, looks somewhat futuristic

  • i love how these osprey's can take off in like 5 different ways lol

  • So it seems that the rotors are in the up position the whole time...why did we replace the pave low with this?

  • @bagelnagel20 no dude, they are not up all the time, when they need to reach speed they adopt airplane position

  • I was in the air force. These are going to replace the c-130 and h-53.

  • @corykatie they did replace the 53s, but they are in no way replacing the hercs....totally different cababilities

  • Such a beautfiul machine! :) I have been in love with it for years. Its too bad about the bugs though, still doesnt make me love it anyless.

  • @AmberW85 my dad works for bell helicopter on the v-22 and project. almost all of the bugs are gone.

  • I wonder if these were inspired or based upon the things from terminator.

  • @jimmyrhondy you do realize this plane has been in the works since the 70's right, and bell aerospace started getting close to a finished product in the earl 80's. then in the 90's bell and boeing hooked up to complete what you see today.

  • Yeah of course.
